in the press conference yesterday FBI claimed that the SS had not spotted the shooter until after he fired the first shot

she's about as relevant in the presidential race as De Sciglio

not surprising, the real question is, if this is some random insane retard then how the eff was he able to get into position to do this completely undetected? Should have been far more difficult than just showing up at a shopping mall with a rifle
Do we know it was that easy to spot him? It's a genuine question. I mean, Trump delivers so many speeches. How realistic is it that every venue is airtight? Is that even possible?

I'm not so sure he's left or right than a confused, mixed-up 20-year-old kid with no obvious future prospects.

As with Bolsonaro, I wouldn't rule it out.

Yeah, but a $15 donation at age 17 three years ago? Amazing the conclusions people insist on drawing early based on scant evidence of anything.

I won't entertain the typical conspiracy theory here. But first of all, there's a failure in scoping the grounds to allow buildings with line-of-sight rooftops to come within 150 meters of the stage without being secured as within the event perimeter. That seems like a planning failure.

Second, it does seem odd that they had a fix on the shooter and it seemed like they may have been waiting for him to fire first. Which, for a guy with a rifle at a presidential election rally seems not at all according to protocol.

If this was Israel, that kid would have been vaporized before he reached the roofline.

Yep. The kind of people we want to give more AR-15s to and say it's freedom.

Still, the whole thing is a mess and a tragedy. People shot at the event, and even killed, just for attending. What's probably a messed up kid and now his parents who are mourning their dead son while also inciting hatred from neighbors.

The one good thing honestly is Trump didn't get killed. I wouldn't shed a tear if he keeled over with a heart attack while scarfing a Big Mac. But we already have Cheeto Jesus and don't need to make him a national martyr too.
if he really died it would've been perfect for Reps. Anyone they'd place instead of him would win in a land slide compared to senile Joe and they'd get rid of an incontrollable extremist

Trump is a symptom not the disease.

None of this matters tbh that photo op, his reaction, and the energy of hope the events of yesterday generated make the orange dude look heaven ordained. If he fumbles this election it will be the worst choke in the history of American politics.
Yeah, I agree. But I think he had it in the bag from the start.
Are people switching from Biden to Trump over this? I doubt it, maybe some RFK folks will switch to Trump or some Dems will sit out. But I think it’s all been set in stone for a while.

Is the replacement imminent?
Yes and I would have said within the next two weeks until the Trump shooting. Not sure if this delays it somewhat but still, imo, i am waiting to see who replaces Biden and that matters far more in the outcome of the election than the shooting did

if anything the shooting could end up damaging Trump if he starts spouting off and getting militant about it
