but about the previous question.i didn't understand anything from gray.about copying pix..
See the screenshot below: the first picture shows me highlighting my avatar along with the text (the highlight is green on mine cos that's the way i want it to be :p). Now when I try to paste this into a photoshop document, it does nothing. But when I paste this into MS Word, it actually does something (see right picture)

I don't know, I've only tried Mozilla for five or ten minutes. It is pretty hard to judge, but I don't see what I need a new explorer for.
I tried it for a few minutes again but it is not...
...it doesn't look as good. But it has two advantages: I won't get these pop-ups and I can save images in other formats than .BMP.
    That is not good enough.

Try it out, you'll find heaps of little things that just make your internet experience that much more pleasant. If it doesn't look as good, there's plenty of themes that you can easily install, without a third-party program like IE uses.

It's not like I was singing its praises as soon as I tried it, but within the space of about half a day, I'm completely familiar with it (I used IE for about 8 years), and it's a pleasure to use.

Check out the skinning: I just chose any old Mozilla theme, and even that looks better than the default IE theme

Ok, those skin things might look good. Do you have one that is extremely basic, something like the internet explorer skin.
What bothers me is that I have to install some plug-ins every time I enter a website.

Yeah, I'm aware of that.... which is why I did those damn annoying tests using Word and posted the results :wallbang:

It's good to see that you're giving the prog. a fair go ;)

Exactly the same with Internet Explorer, though you probably did it in IE so long ago that you don't even remember... IMO clicking "yes, install this" is a small price to pay for all the benefits. Plus, how many damn plugins are there anyway? About 5 or 6 main ones that everyone uses

The main reason that I started using Mozilla though, was that whenever I posted within 60 seconds of my last post, I didn't have to say "$#!^ I HOPE I COPIED THAT MESSAGE INTO THE CLIPBOARD BEFORE I PRESSED SUBMIT"... because Moz always saves your stuff :extatic::extatic::extatic:

It was easier to know if the plug-ins were viruses in IE...
What on Earth are you talking about? What viruses? Are you aware the any web page is a potential death drap when surfing in IE? And there's a simple explanation to it, Microsoft designed IE so that it uses certain system function that a browser should not be able to access. If someone wanted to, they could construct a web page in such a manner than merely opening it will mess up your system. And they have too, that's why you have all the hoopla about upgrading IE every 2 weeks because of security holes.

Why? Because they gave you a choice of Yes/No, with little recollection of what the heck you just pressed if you accidentally clicked Yes?

It's especially good in IE since kind folks are nice enough to install software on your system without asking, since they know that all good computer users want to install "XXX Hotbar" and "Hot Strippers Dancing on Your Desktop"

    only 5-6?
Well, I got one or two new messages every time I visited a website so I was suspecting that it would become a disturbing problem perhaps it is already over. :extatic:

That new feature is good, sometimes you write long posts and when you're finished and want to post it you're logged out.

Ahhh, so at least Mozilla notifies you that you're about to install something suspicious, whereas nice, convenient IE would simply install it to save you the trouble.

If you're visiting sites with any kind of integrity (i don't wanna know what u're looking at, dude :p) you won't get so many of these messages.

They had a list of what company that provided the plug-in. They weren't very many, I've never seen a plug-in with porn content I think.

What was meant by that was, the processing time and loading times (NOT INTERNET-RELATED) were (slightly) longer than IE, since IE is built in the Windows environment. Mozilla displays pages faster, since it shows each component as it is downloaded. This is merely a perception though, since the speed at which you receive data doesn't change, but the rate at which Mozilla outputs that data is greater. IE, though, processes commands etc. faster. Honestly though, this difference is negligible.
