What was meant by that was, the processing time and loading times (NOT INTERNET-RELATED) were (slightly) longer than IE, since IE is built in the Windows environment. Mozilla displays pages faster, since it shows each component as it is downloaded. This is merely a perception though, since the speed at which you receive data doesn't change, but the rate at which Mozilla outputs that data is greater. IE, though, processes commands etc. faster. Honestly though, this difference is negligible.
i c.but honestly in both ways it is faster(at least for me).maybe because my IE was damaged and never worked normally.that's y i think mozilla is faster.
but isn't it a plus to desplay the page by each componet.rather than waiting long to see the page fully?;)

lol, there's always the Microsoft factor... MS products tend to lose functionality over time... it's as consistent as gravity.

;) Yes, it is a plus... did I make it sound like a disadvantage

I might add they do nicely to verify the existence and magnitude of the gravitational force as well.. :D

    Dude, I'm already sold ;)

So that link above is addressed to everyone else

BILL GATES HAS US BRAIN-WASHED. I even showed my gf, who was totally uninterested because she's used to ignoring me and my geeky tendencies, but that's a direct quote from her! She was shocked ;)

Personally, I think the advantage that IE's windows integration has with regards to its performance is negligible compared to all the security holes this leaves

You know it's all too easy to compete on "equal terms" when you de facto have the market monopolized. Anything microsoft want they get. In 91 I think it was Bill said the internet does not interest us. Then a few years later they see the new exciting technology which everyone seems to love, Netscape, Java, the whole deal and decide we don't wanna miss the party. They make IE and ship it with Windoze. Court says you can't, they do anyway and a couple of years later whaddayaknow, 95% market share.

Yeah I remember that, it's unfair competition to dudes like Netscape (Pity Netscape Navigator sucked ). You gotta resent Microsoft for those kinds of things...

    geek joke:

What did Bill Gates name his company after?

    His p*nis :p
