Yeah, I've seen that sentiment a bunch of times. I don't get it. It's like comparing Indiana Jones 4 with Munich (Spielberg's previous film). They're nothing alike. Why compare at all?

As for the slow to get going comment, it's the kind of thing that elicited the Friends gag every 30 seconds from me. So what if it's slow to start? So's Once Upon a Time in the West (staggeringly so - and still a great film).

better to compare it with "o brother where art thou?" than no country

Why all the Burn After Reading hate? It's perfectly a good film. Far better than Barton Fink, for example. I think people who are dissing it are the kind who Friends writers aim at - a joke every 30 seconds or you'll lose the audience.

I disliked Burn After Reading and I hate Friends.

I dont see anything bad in this!!.......its a great movie. Many people forget that it is an SF movie made to look like those are every day people. Thats why people dont like this movie. Once they get it trough their heads that it is a SF movie they will see it diiferently!! Bottom line is that you dont like it, thats your opinion i was just telling my opinion!

Just watched (literaly) Rear Window: what a truely wonderful filmmaker Hitchcock was. Brilliant, and it is not his best.

Which of his works you rate higher? For me, Vertigo is Hitchcock's best but Rear Window comes in second IMO.

Come on, you know how PR people work. They broke up, he told her he can't stand her, but they do still have kids and they have to do something about that. So her PR guy told her it would look better if they maintained a "platonic relationship". The fact that they live together doesn't even have to mean they see each other, rich people have big houses so.
