i loved the Mist...the ending was just
I thought the Mist was terrible. Then again I hold horror flicks to a standard that others do not.
Yep that movie sucked. And the so-called unpredictable ending...very predictable imo.
Well, I liked it. Not so much the ending, it was little over-the-top. And its actually different than in the novella.

horror movies are overrated.
You just have to find the good ones. But all in all, the genre has seriously fallen off since the 1970s. Much of the drivel that's shown in theaters these days is hardly worth a look. Regarding a horror film and understanding that horror films aren't usually cinematic works of brilliance (because they are horror films) should do one of three things: scare you, shock you, and gross you out.

That said, there are a lot of people who probably should stay away from the genre all together.

Absolutely not. No matter what your culture, your nationailty, your taste and your age is, you definitely will enjoy watching it.
Oh, I didnt mean that at all. I mean that I got the impression he isnt known or viewed as much abroad as its in the US. Not that people are less likely to like it abroad, but not really seen it much or that its that much exported across their boarders as much of their stuff is. Thats all.

Hehe, first time I watched it, I agreed completely (and partly still do), but second try, despite its tedious parts, I enjoyed it a little in its own way.
I'm not a big fan of theatrics, so call me what you want. When I go see a play and I see a guy talking to himself out loud in ear short of other actors on stage, I don't think it's a clever way of conveying his thoughts to the audience. I'm probably spoiled by movies and technology.

So the idea of playing chess for your soul may not have been so bad, I just didn't think the depiction was interesting at all. Nor particularly taken with the acting.

Before The Devil Knows You're Dead not bad, good end!..***..
I just finished watching that one, 20 minutes ago. :eyebrows:

It was OK, some good acting but overall a little boring. Marisa Tomei was nice though. :D
