The Wizard of Oz. Wonderful wonderful classic movie. There are two surprising notes:

1- The film has been made in 1939, yet it's technicolor.

2- Victor Fleming directed this movie in the same year he directed Gone With the Wind

I recommend watching this movie to you all. It's suitable for the 3 years old kids to the 99 years old seniles :D
did you just recently see this movie? its one of the most famous films of all-time and you just saw it for the first time?

Never seen it. Hardly know anyone who has.

And thats not because me or they dont like old movies, more it the wizard of Oz seems like bit specifically a cinematic cultural treasure of your country, bit of a domestic iconic fairytale folklore which I dont think has same effect and exposure outside your boarders (just guessing, your heard more talked in your movies/tv series then actually ever see a glimpse of it). Which is weird thing to say, considering most of that industries stuff do, even the absolute worst.

Have you seen Det sjunde inseglet?
Perhaps he or otherwise would recognize it better with the english name of the seventh seal. Though its a Bergman movie, rarely watched stuff.

But yeah, quite a fascinating depiction of angel of Death, to say the least.

Dont like swedish movies in overall, find them too awkward, but it was weird seeing a genuinly top quality movie (though bit tedious) which was actually swedish.

If there were to be a remake (great film and musical score)with members of this forum playing the main roles who would you have them play.

I would cast
Burke as Dorothy
JCK as the scarecrow
Azzuri 7 as the tinman
Les bes chair (whatever he is called) the lion
Letsbrushourtooth as a munchkin
Seven as the witch of the west
.......

Help needed to finish casting.
I assume you have an eye for the Professor Marvel/Wizard of Oz role, don't you?

Burke is more suitbale for the Miss Gulch/Witch of the West role :D

A few years ago I'd prefered to watch the post 70's movies but I've changed my mind and now, I slowly begin watching the classic movies as well.

Absolutely not. No matter what your culture, your nationailty, your taste and your age is, you definitely will enjoy watching it.

The Mist. Its mostly about human behaviour; how do people react under psychological pressure. Marcia Gay Harden is great as religious fanatic who slowly but surely gains followers.
