Australia - Baz Lurhman has done it once again. Finally, a modern epic that doesn't fall short. Really enjoyable film. Great setting, great acting, and a simple plot.

I kept waiting for Brian Brown to say "You know how make a red eye"?

The Wizard of Oz. Wonderful wonderful classic movie. There are two surprising notes:

1- The film has been made in 1939, yet it's technicolor.

2- Victor Fleming directed this movie in the same year he directed Gone With the Wind

I recommend watching this movie to you all. It's suitable for the 3 years old kids to the 99 years old seniles :D

6/10 is too low for it, it wasnt an average movie (thats an average score), but an extremely compelling and excellent movie and dealt with that subject in a complex and refreshing way.

Rab, is Apocalypto any good? Like historical movies, but havent seen it yet. And as King Ale said, Apocalypse Now is a much better choice to watch or re-watch

your right about the way they dealt with the delicate subject. The main reason i gave it that score was because at some parts the movie got slow and predictable(the last bus seen excluded) . The other reason is i am a tough critic, gladiator gets a 8.7 i in my book :D

I'm not sure it's historical exactly, it's more just fun for the whole family. It is entertaining though.

If there were to be a remake (great film and musical score)with members of this forum playing the main roles who would you have them play.

I would cast
Burke as Dorothy
JCK as the scarecrow
Azzuri 7 as the tinman
Les bes chair (whatever he is called) the lion
Letsbrushourtooth as a munchkin
Seven as the witch of the west
.......

Help needed to finish casting.
