Saw An Inconvenient Truth last night. I thought it was very good. It's Al Gore's global warming diatribe, but it's quite watchable.
Ah, watched the trailer for that; I'm guessing its a docu-drama-esque piece; Al Gore in the trailer put me off a fair bit, but the premise of the movie was pretty intriguing.

Guess I'll be catching it after all.

Its core is a slideshow he gives regularly, cut with other footage, mostly wistful pieces about his motivation for the whole thing. It doesn't sound like it should work, but I enjoyed it!

What exactly was the context of that slideshow though? Was it entirely choreographed for the purposes of the movie, a re-enactment of a presentation he gave earlier or actually live footage of an actual talk he gave?

It was in front of a live audience, at least mostly. He says in the film that he's been giving this talk (and presumably refining it as he went) for years, so it's pretty slick.

I saw Click on the flight from SFO to Heathrow. Parts were pretty funny. And it is kind of a cheesy movie that goes to pull heartstrings without any shame. But it's decent cheap entertainment.

I saw Inconvenient Truth in the theaters some time ago. You get what you expect, and sure it's documentary format in a way. But it's done very well. So I recommend that.
