Watched both Candyman and Halloween Kills this weekend and both are terrible movies.

And a movie called The Night House which is from a promising director but also sucked.

So hard to find a good horror or comedy these days.

old horror movies were on another level.
Today’s Hollywood needs to stop being lazy and stealing old stuff and come up with new and original stuff.

Wasn't impressed with Dune as much as I had hoped. Felt there was too much focus on visuals instead of character building and story telling.

Also let down by the worst Hans Zimmer score Ive heard in any movie.

Edit: Just want to add that Denis Villeneuve is a genius and the movie looked perfect.

I think I'll rate it quite high based on what I read and see who the director is. It may sound silly but I think I know what I'm expecting. Maybe but an amazing movie but surely a very good one, so that's at least 8/10 which is great imo. But I'll wait and see.
Definitely a good movie and very well made despite my criticism. I maybe expected too much.

It would be fucking stupid not to make second part. Hell, more parts. Second part should have amazing moments and key things that first part was/is building.

And it's kinda strange. In the second movie first 1/3 of the movie should be huge which is kinda weird as you usually leave such things for end of the movie. However, imo it was impossible to have all of that in the first movie so I was glad that part was rather left out rather than forced in for like 20 minutes.
