That's always a safe bet. Bar the Batman trilogy everything else has been pure crap. Ironman 1, C. America and Spiderman were fine/decent. As for othehrs... nothing but entertaining (even that can be questionable for some movies). :p
Meh, most Marvel movies have achieved what they tried to do - being fairly entertaining mostly brainless action-comedies. It's not high art, but it's not dogshit.

Haven't seen nearly all of them though tbh.

Sorry, but Watchmen shits on other superhero movies.
No idea what people see in it. I thought it was boring as hell and quite stupid.

Many weren't even entertaining, just a flop and a waste of a budget. :D

I liked a few of them. Of the recent ones only Ant Man was good.

It is the best. The Dark Knight and Watchmen are the only 2 superhero movies I'd watch many times over.

Btw @Post Ironic I know how you stand on Scott Ridley but Yesterday I was re watching Blade Runner for the hundredth time and man, was he inspired then!

It's so artistically challenging the way he envisioned a dark and futuristic world, the noir theme and the timeless characters. Also that soundtrack has to be top 3 best soundtracks ever made. It's a pair made in heaven, really. It's truly a masterpiece of it's genre.

I heard he'll be making a Blade Runner 2. :D

The main problem is that they are essentially the same movie over and over again. You could make one movie every 5 years each for Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, whoever and it would be enough, but now it's one every 1-2 years and the Avengers stuff all in-between. Whatever makes money, I guess.

Ryan Gosling as main character. Not bad, he's cool.

Oh it seems Denis Villeneuve will direct it. The guy who made Enemy, Sicario, Prisoners, etc... Good director imo just not sure how he'll handle a futuristic theme.

Yeah, I knew that but didn't pay attention to what I was posting. I'm tired :D

You know what's an interesting fact? Blade Runner takes place in 2020' Los Angeles. We're in 2016 and it looks nothing like the 80's idea of our future :D

It's the first time Roger Deakins is going to shoot a proper sci-fi movie. That should be pretty interesting

Yeah. Look if I'm making a futuristic movie I'd be sure to make it at least 100 years from today's date. They all get the future wrong. It seems that in the past we all had this idea that the 2000's was gonna be such a leap in society's way of life and really it hasn't changed THAT much. There's internet and mobile computers but no flying cars, no time machines, no human-like machines, no colonized planets, etc... They all got it wrong. :D

He's not so bad as I say. I watched Prometheus again a few weeks ago and it's far better than I remember it being. I'm actually looking forward to a sequel.

I don't know what to think of Bladerunner. Sometimes i think it's great, sometimes I dislike it. Never been a fan of Harrison Ford. I think he's a very mediocre actor. I do think the atmosphere is quite brilliant, the dark futuristic noir setting. Alongside the soundtrack it makes the film.

Be interesting to see how Villeneuve handles the aesthetic established by Scott.

Prometheus is underrated. It has the potential for a future cult classic. I'm excited too, it's been set pretty nicely for a great sequel, the story behind the Engineers and where they came from is intriguing.

Very true.

Again I didn't see most of the recent releases, but if it they stay as closely to the formula of the earlier ones it does make for a very boring couple of movies.

Also, didn't really like Bladerunne tbh. Don't know why, but it never klicked with me.

Oh @Post Ironic forgot to ask, have you watched The Witch yet? I've heard some good things from people I trust. PLUS when you get most of today's people aka the superhero generation saying it's "boring" you know it's got to be good :D
