going to watch Whiplash and Under the Skin. Looking forward to these movies.

Just finished Whiplash great fucking movie. A film about jazz music that felt like an intense thriller. The drumming blew my mind and JK. Simmons was amazing he will surely win an Oscar for it as it was probably the best performance all year in any category imo.

@Osman I watched Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno yesterday. Man, it was great... :D No idea how would people who never read manga (any manga) like it but I thought it was great. I love how they revived the manga spirit in the movie where basically ever shot represents one drawing, the camera angle is just perfect throughout the movie. The main villain is also great. Music was also pretty damn good. This part has more dialog based story but I still liked it. And btw, third part is sooo coming out.

I think I posted last week that the film was incredibly mediocre. More like a dressed up propaganda piece. Even the "intense" scenes were vanilla. None of the supporting cast was compelling. Complete waste of time.

And @king Ale, yeah Chris Kyle wrote his own book. He wasn't very smart, but he could shoot a rifle.

It was also disappointing that they left out Kyle's general cuntiness, having Bradley Cooper cry because he killed some kid.
Everything I read about him indicates dude was a bigoted hillbilly evanligecal psychopath.

Oh you remind me I need to finish it. I saw first 30 mins then feel asleep. Shishio vs Kenshin should be fun.

@Nzoric your dad will love this  I think it's on Netflix.

Trust me dude, he's seen all the conspiracy stuff about the moon landings. One of these days I swear I'm going to go home and find him shooting chem trails with a crystal gun.

Can someone recommend me a good fairly recent horror flick? I love the genre but it's been a while since I've seen a truly good one.
Love the genre, but I don't think they make any good ones nowadays.

I must be the only one in here who thought it bad, or the annonying kid just pissed me off, but I didn't find it even close to be scary.

Havent seen a decent horror in years but do love the American Horror Story TV series.
Like the show, is the new season worth watching?

Trailer was so shit that I didn't want to give it a go. Looks like pure BS.

The Count of Monte Cristo - some parts were pretty predictable but I still liked it. I can always enjoy a relaxing adventure. I haven't read the book, though. Gotta say Jim Caviezel is a fine actor. He was pretty good, just like in Person of Interest, The Passion of the Christ and The Thin Red Line.

The Theory of Everything - I enjoyed it. Eddie Redmayne was freakin' amazing, to pull such a role was pretty brilliant. It kinda makes you appreciate the life even while you're knocked down.

The Imitation Game - Really enjoyable and entertaining. Benedict does it again

The Beat That My Heart Skipped - Great movie. I love how it's totally different than majority of stuff out there. I liked pretty much everything about it but especially the ending.
