The second Protector film is pretty bad. As is the third Ong Bak. But the rest (Ong Bak 1 and 2, The Protector) are awesome.
I haven't seen the second Protector yet. Will steer clear. Thanks.

thanks guys.

will see protector
One other film would be the 2004 French film District 13. Similar to The Raid. And was pretty well received. Scores 7.2 on IMDB

The remake of District B13 (the sequel is pretty good) is called Brick Mansions. Steer clear until you've seen the original. Brick Mansions has RZA and Paul Walker, which makes it fun. But for the all out action of the original, there is no substitute. Also, any of the IP Man films starring Doni Yen are legit. 13 Assassins has crazy good action and it's well made (Takashe Mike whattup).

The Grand Budapest Hotel. What an awesome masterpiece :delpiero:
Perhaps the favorite movie I saw last year.

But I gotta say... I was in the mood for a weird movie, and boy did I find one. Under the Skin. I won't give too much away other than to say it's unlike any movie you've ever seen, save for maybe 2001: A Space Odyssey. Except the starting premise is Scarlett Johansson plays an alien who drives around a rape van in Edinburgh, Scotland. And it gets weirder from there.

Holy shit. I enjoyed it. But most of you will hate the shit out of it.

I've had that on my hard drive for about 3 months. Time to unleash the Scarlett.

It's fun. But you might want to be high before you take that trip.

It really hit the spot for me. I needed a movie that would blow my mind.

Have you seen anything by Jacques Audiard? His last few films have been fantastic. The Beat My Heart Skipped; A Prophet; Rust and Bone. Highly recommend them. The last one, Marion Cotillard and Matthias Schoenaerts are brilliant in the lead roles.

Really looking forward to his next film also. Erran. I hope it shows at one of the film festivals I go to this year.
Amazing movies.

You know what I hate? Being on imdb and searching for movies and what to watch. I when I run across some interesting one I see it lasts for ~3h and I'm like 'oh c'mon, there's no way I'm gonna waste 3 hours now!'. And it repeats. Over and over again.

So, in the end, I end up searching for a movie for like an hour and a half. When I check out the clock I'm like :shifty: Dusan you fucking retard.
Happens to me all the time. I end up watching none :D

The Tree of Life - I think I need to re-watch it as I'm not sure I understood everything, especially the ending, but damn it was really good.

Well, there are certainly many ways to interpret it, but this is how I see it:
On the beach, Sean Penn is meeting the people in his life, in his memory - perhaps imagening life after death, and he's finally able to come to terms with his childhood.

But I haven't watched it since it came out.

Best movie ever made, best song ever made. Best combination that could ever be. @PostIronic

Pretty great combination...

Though, I'm sure you already know that I would edit that "best" to "one of the best" for both song and film. :p

Pink Floyd from Piper at the Gates of Dawn to Obscured by Clouds was great... And then Dark Side of the Moon happened and they basically turned into a weird pop band.
