I watched The Guest which i liked was a nice 80s throwbackwith a great soundtrack. I also watched Snowpiercer which i felt i should of liked more than i did it is my kind of movie i dont know why but it just didn't click with me but i would still give it a thumbs up.
Went to see the final Hobbit movie last night. Can't say I'll ever dislike this franchise, but it was hardly the best of the bunch. Deliberately open-ended of course, but also they didn't tie up the likes of Bard or Beorn as characters.

I still got some faith in the extended version. One of the biggest problem of the film was that there were way too many mostly useless fight scenes, while in contrast to the other, extremely drawn out movies, this one actually had a lot of story to get done - which it often didn't.
Beorn for example showed up for like 5 seconds, when he's of massive importance in the books and basically changes the tide of the battle.
Don't know if this goes in this thread or a news thread , still Sony has decided to cancel the release of The Interview in light to terrorrist threats . Most theaters had decided to not show the movie and sony withdrew the wide release in all theaters . I like that they care , but feel that they shouldn't have acted like this . This will just be a bigger incentive for terrorrists to make more threats .

I said the same to my mate (who hasn't read the book), I was expecting Beorn to come in and be the protagonist of the battle but he got nothing. The extended version will surely show more, but the problem is that the film(s) were already spread too thinly with too much dialogue, so an extended battle scene would only suit fans.
