Thanks, thought about watching it.
It's defe worth a watch, especially if you like horror movies or anything creepy. Warning though, the kid in the movie can be pretty annoying.

I watched "Gone Girl" and "The Equalizer" ,I liked both.
Gone Girl was alright. Way too long though, and the plot was just too crazy to be believable.

Went to see the final Hobbit movie last night. Can't say I'll ever dislike this franchise, but it was hardly the best of the bunch. Deliberately open-ended of course, but also they didn't tie up the likes of Bard or Beorn as characters.

I still got some faith in the extended version. One of the biggest problem of the film was that there were way too many mostly useless fight scenes, while in contrast to the other, extremely drawn out movies, this one actually had a lot of story to get done - which it often didn't.
Beorn for example showed up for like 5 seconds, when he's of massive importance in the books and basically changes the tide of the battle.

Don't know if this goes in this thread or a news thread , still Sony has decided to cancel the release of The Interview in light to terrorrist threats . Most theaters had decided to not show the movie and sony withdrew the wide release in all theaters . I like that they care , but feel that they shouldn't have acted like this . This will just be a bigger incentive for terrorrists to make more threats .

i know it's really shocking, also more shocking is the 'libertarian' mouthpieces staying mum about it

Gone Girl - friends have overhyped this movie for a long time... and while I liked the 'mood' of the movie... it wasn't spectacular. Still, watchable.

22 Jump Street - Channing Tatum is so endearing  I enjoyed this.

I said the same to my mate (who hasn't read the book), I was expecting Beorn to come in and be the protagonist of the battle but he got nothing. The extended version will surely show more, but the problem is that the film(s) were already spread too thinly with too much dialogue, so an extended battle scene would only suit fans.
