I stopped watching after 1h and 15 minutes. My brother was bored to death and I can't really blame him. With that story I have no idea why that made that movie last for over 2 hours. I just finished it a couple of minutes ago. Last 25 minutes pretty much save the movie from being a disaster.

Did he really escape and make his family, or was that just a dream and what would have happened?

Overall I think it's decent. I don't mind long, even longer movies. But what I hated about it is being it too slow for no reason with that story. I'd give it 7/10 and that's only because ending was kinda good.
Nah yo, he went to jail.
It's Spike Lee's post 911 homage to NYC. So not everyone will get it. I like it a lot, if anything for the scenery.

I'm not saying it's bad, but seriously first hour of the movie is pointless. It could have lasted 40 minutes less.

I can live with 7/10. :D I honestly didn't even think about that the film was slow tbh. :D oh, and Enron is right regarding the spoiler. :agree:

The Purge was okay. Not particularly my thing when it comes to horror, but it was decent, not too long and tried to attain a moral by the end. Blumhouse makes some cheap movies that make a ton of money. The Paranormal films, Sinister, etc.
