I am looking forward to the Dragon Tattoo remakes though. I think the original films were good, but I'm interested to compare what Fincher comes up with.
Shame the latter two were made on "made-for-television" budgets with a shitty director.

Either way, Fincher's fantastic, so I'll be eager to see his take, but Rapace isn't getting topped. The new Salander looks, and especially sounds, very lame.

Yeah, she does look lame. Though Daniel Craig is a superb casting.

Yeah, they got that one spot on, although Mikael Nyqvist did a very good job in the role as well.

-edit. Oh, apparently they've released the extended edition blu-rays. An extra 30 minutes for each film, filling in some of the stuff left out of the book.

Summer of Sam, 25th Hour?
yeah bro 25th hour. the scene where edward is talking to the mirror is a bomb and the last scenes, the film is brilliant bro

i just watched "priest" not bad for the second film from the director stewart is his name. from the optical point of view it was nice but nothing new. i think he has potential, i mean nowadays comic adaptions are very dissepointing but that film was ok.

Dope as fuck. Really enjoyed that. Being kinda Tarantino'esque helped too I suppose.
Good hear, it was a great flick, really done with raw tension. If you like the directors style, he has done couple other movies, not as good, but similar theme, called Sympathy for Mr veangence, and Sympathy for Lady vengeance. He basically explored the theme of revenge in a trio of movies, Oldboy is his masterpiece, bbut the others are worth watching too.

Non of them was as shocking, but yes Mr vengeance is better then lady vengeance, more gritty heavy drama. But Lady vengeance defenitely worth watching too. Either shouldnt be compared to oldboy, other then the theme.

Saw Cowboys and Aliens and Rise of the planet of the apes, I enjoyed the latter more for sure, found Caesar and how he evolved and reacted to and lead rest of the chimps quite intriguing. The former was decent light entertainment though.

If you guys are into intense Korean movies, check out 'The Chaser' too, it's a pretty decent watch.
Watched tons of korean movies (00's been excellent age for korean flicks) and heard about the chaser, recall couldnt get hold of it last year then forgot about it. Any other korean flicks you would recommend?
