I finally saw LA Confidential. Very enjoyable.
Yup,I love the soundtrack they have for the movie..

Im gonna see Capt America, not expecting it to be great, but I know the teaser at the end for Avenger is supposed to be awesome.
I saw Hangover 2 on Sunday, not as good as the 1st one, still had some funny moments though..Ken Jeong is brilliant

Super 8 - Quite good & very entertaining. Essentially, it's an old fashioned B movie creature flick, but centring it around a group of kids (who are all absolutely perfect) makes it somewhat refreshing. Some scenes/moments are absolutely brilliant. However, the melodramatic & corny moments are so exaggerated, they almost made me laugh in disbelief.

JJ Abrams always has that in his productions. Hate it.

I'm going to watch this on Wednesday, sounds like it won't be a wasted journey.
    Nope, absolutely worth watching.

its an homage to spielberg movies from late 70s & 80s, think ET goonies and close encounter of the 3rd kind
ET being the most obvious inspiration. Even if this is a bit more "scary".

I'd say it's more of a Spielberg thing (who was a producer on this), rather than being typical for JJ Abrams.

You were right about the kid actors, some fantastic stuff in there. I didn't think it was a brilliant movie but I enjoyed it a lot. There were just too many clichéd moments, it was as if this was a film I love but I'd watched it 5 times already. The action sequence near the end was basically Cloverfield, which pushed it just too far. Nods to Spielberg, ok, but I was rolling my eyes at that point. Maybe it's best to watch this movie if you are not a sci-fi nerd.

    Still, 8/10 for me.

    The Tree of Life, anyone?

I didn't watch anything else in that film tbh, in fact they should have just shot her for an hour and a half and it would have been infinitely more entertaining.
