I was about 8 or nine when it was released at the cinema here. When movies came out, there were like 5 new movies that were on the circuit for like 3 months.
Yeah, but once it came to VHS you still copied/bought it and watched it all over again. It was fun being a kid. :D

holy shit great memories of some truly dreadful films,Best of the best was a legendary film but watch it now and it is laughably bad. Robocop was (as dru touched on) satirically violent with a lot of digs at American consumerism, absolutely brilliant.

as for the JCVD films...bloodsport was actually very good, hard target was ok but the majority of his films were truly awful. Jackie Chan>>>>>>>>>>>>>JCVD

So much nostalgia in here. I like.

Use to wake up early to watch either Shootfighter and Ironheart before school when I was a kid. Bolo Yeung. :touched:

Gonna watch Ong Bak 1 & 2 just to see Tony Jaa in action. That guy has mad crazy skills, ultimate muay thai fighter. Apparently the third one is coming out.

I need to get out more. Have you seen it?
It just got theatrical release in the US in Jan, released in 2010 in Europe, but it didn't play anywhere near me. So I haven't been able to see it. You might be able to find it via torrent.

EDIT: Correction, it was released on DVD on TUESDAY!!!!

Autumn Sonata
The Shame
The Silence

Liked The Shame the most. The Silence, even though was really like a silent movie, was great as well. Autumn Sonata bored me a little bit but I liked it nevertheless.

the first one was brilliant, the most complete martial arts star for years...well since Jackie Chan. any man that does all his own stunts(the bit where he jumps through the barb wire ring is awesome) always carries a little more respect with me
