Uno and Izzat was like two of the biggest Norwegian movies in 2000s after Max Manus.
Might be, I never really followed the local cinema living in Norway. I can't say that I do anymore now. Do you know Salmer fra kjøkkenet? I loved it. :D

Don't you think a single person on Juventuz is going to mock the Manus-Anus? I was just giving a heads up
Isn't that like saying "well they were gonna shoot him anyway so I decided to shoot first"?

I can't keep this up, it's way too hard. :D

This story is supposed to take place sometime in the 12th century. Apparently English as we know it in the 21st century was already the international language then, because the Christians and the Muslims in Jerusalem were able to chat freely in it.
Isn't English the spoken language in nearly all movie set in that time period? And it's always in a British accent. I find that strange too but it's so commonly done.

Sure, coming out of Hollywood at least. But when the movie is in Swedish, produced in Sweden, then changing the "default" language of the movie typically is a signal of some kind. That you are actually making a point of saying they spoke English, as opposed to just narrating.

It might be like me shooting anyways, but it was more like: you can't take the jokes on me cuz I already know them :p

The movie came out of Sweden but there were non-Swedish actors in it as well.

What other Norwegian movies have you seen that you'd recommend?
Best Norwegian movie I ever saw was Insomnia. That Izzat movie Fake Melo mentioned is about Pakistani's youth that grew up in Norway and got involved in crime. Not really interesting for any non-Pakistani's I would imagine.

edit: I forgot Max Manus is Norwegian. That is the best Norwegian movie I've seen.

Hey the idea that Guillou writes these books that are centered on Sweden with scraps of "internationalism" in them to make them seem cool seems really hilarious (and sad) to me too :D
:D

Hmm, I am no big fan of Norwegian movies.. But, Izzat was pretty cool, it's about Pakistani kids in Oslo growing up with local thugs and getting involved with gang-shit.

"Sønner" was also decent, have you heard of it?
Nope. You'll have to excuse me, but I pretty much assumed anything Norwegian produced was garbage so I never cared. :D

At some point I expect Martin to interject with "Pfft...sell that shit to the tourists" :D
I'm actually putting myself on a diet of Dutch movies soon, I need to frickin train my hearing for it. I hope the movie industry here is better than the award winning Norweigan/Swedish combo. :D
