Well of course. Have you seen Män som hater kvinnor? The first of the three books? It was the one that was meant to be a movie and it was made really well. Due to its success the other two sequels were made but they were made really fast and at first they were meant to be shown on TV. But since the first movie got so many admittance in the theatres they released the second two and came out with extremely low quality.

Its really great war story, and the battles are INSANE, very tactical/strategic in every since, and incredibly gritty, a body is dropping dead every 2 secs. Its not the usual M.O of the winning side barely losing anyone, basically pyrrhic victories all around.

Indeed, it had a lot of substance and the strategy development and even politics, made me shocked to see it was a John Woo movie. Really good stuff.

Give me some more similar stuff, only not Hero or Crouching Tiger, saw those.

The book is classics and a fine read, but I didn't really like the movie, hardly entertaining if you know the story.
