The Hurt Locker: A quote above the title on the movie's poster reads: "A near perfection movie".

That's not even an inch close to what this movie is. The fact that the director opted to film the whole thing here in the Eastern Jordanian-Iraqi border to give a realistic view was a good effort IMO but aside from that there is nothing special about it.

Iv heard a lot of great things and bad things about the film, i imagine its more down to the connection you have to the film and films characters which makes and brakes the film for you.

As yet i have not watched it, my parents got it at christmas so i will have a mooch when im back at home

There is only two real Robin Hoods:

Everything else are lousy tries to do an some epic movie shit.
I watched the Walt Disney one again last week. Nostalgia :D
To my own surprise, I remembered quite a lot of it even though it had probably been about 15 years or more since I last watched it. It used to be my favourite animated movie when I was a kid.

On a completely unrelated note, the past 2 days have once again confirmed that it doesn't matter 1 bit who the producer(s) is / are of a certain movie:

Produced by the Wachowski's (I know, they already have a bunch of stinkers) and directed by the guy from V for Vendetta comes a movie called Ninja Assasin. This one really had it all: Soap opera acting, ridiculous dialogues, a plot that's been written by a 2 year old retard, ...

Hell Ride - A Quentin Tarantino production. Not much of a movie, just a couple of biker guys acting tough. Plot makes very little sense (I got the feeling that half the movie ended up on the cutting room floor) & the way in which the female lead was written was nothing more than repulsive. Embarrassing for everyone involved.
