So....Buck. How are we standing with the rom/coms? It's been a while since I've seen one...anything new(er) good out there?
Difficult question. I don't think I have seen any really good ones lately, not that I remember at least. Baby Mama was pretty decent, but I don't know if I would call it a rom/com. Definitely a chick flick though :D
Haven't seen (500) Days of Summer & Adventureland yet sadly, 2 romcoms I'm definitely looking forward to watching.

Anything you have seen that's worth checking out?

I don't think I can handle any more of the Wayanas brothers.
Shouldn't be a probem then. Most of those "..." movies have nothing to do with them :D

Walt Disney movies always sucks. You suck for even watching one of them :sergio:
:disagree:

Baby Mama was a nice surprise, yeah. :D

500 Days Of Summer was very good, I recommend that warmly. Adventureland I haven't seen.

Hmm, of the newer that I can think of, 27 Dresses was OK. Also I Could Never Be Your Woman and The Rebound. Also Genova and Personal Effects if you like the drama, pretty heavy stuff.

Be sure to skip New York, I Love You though, very boring and bad. I expected much.

V, I am most definitely not going to skip New York, I Love You. Too many interesting (& good looking) people involved :D
How does it compare to Paris Je t'Aime, if you've seen that one. Imo, that was decent overall, I especially recall the Coens segment being brilliant.

wasn't it P.S. I Love You?
Nope, this is another film, completely different. This one sucked. It's one of those films that has hundreds of characters who each have a story of 3 minutes and they're kind of all intertwined...sucks balls anyway.

Well it's worth a shot just for Rachel Bilson. :toast:

But like I said, like everyone else, she has like 3 minutes of screen time...It's just one of those movies that tries to be all artistic, indie and shit. The movie doesn't have a plot. Just 2h of small stories put together.

Paris Je t'Aime - haven't seen it, bookmarked on my torrent site. :D

Hmmm, I see Paris Je t'Aime is basically the same thing as New York, I Love You....I'll give it a go, "the original" is usually better.

I've never watched it but I've heard many opinions saying it's overrated.
i recommend u give it a try jbf, i think u might like it.

the same applies to fred, i think its hard to take any ones word for a movie. yeah the avatar story is predictable most of the time non the less its pretty entertaining. i still have'nt seen it on dvd and i dont know if it will still retain the characteristics it had compared to the real thing in theaters. if u still have the chance to watch it in theater i recommend u give it a shot and see for yr self.

yes its over-rated but its still a good movie to watch.

I'd say it's worth it. But be aware that the movie consists of completely different segments. Definitely not something for everyone's taste.

I really enjoyed some of them (like I said, the bit by the Coens was the best, some others were quite good as well), while other segments were quite bad or dull.
