I learned long ago to move on if he doesn't understand or agree with my viewpoint. The guy is intelligent and knows a bit about what he says, though he is pompous and poor at explaining his viewpoint. I just pretend he agrees with me and move on to the next subject.

I haven't seen a "good" movie (one I really really liked) since I saw The Hurt Locker (this past summer).

Actually i found The Pursuit of Happiness a really good movie, and having his real child in the movie to play that same role was nice to see. While being based on a true story gave the film the credibility needed for these sorts of movies.

Thats a rare situation, if i dont agree, then i wont agree, unless something can dramatically change my mind. Although i take exception to being called pompous, as being pompous means to be an egoist or have self important views, and i generally have views about freedom of 'everyman', perhaps arrogant is a better word? I would agree with that.

Your personal viewpoints and how you display them can be completely different items. Perhaps, you are merely just arrogant, but arrogance is often mistaken for other traits.

While I agree that you display an arrogance many are not accustomed to. You have to realize that it can be seem by others as something else.
