That would definitely lead to more free time but the thing is, I'm interested in pretty much every movie. If 10 guys say a movie is absolute crap, I'm still gonna want to check it out. Just to verify if they were right
No, he shouldn't. It suuuuuuuuuucks. Aside from some clever driving and some shots of Torino from the 60s there is nothing good about it. And Michael Caine is absolutely unbearable in it.
Such a fun(ny) movie. One of Caine's better roles if you ask me. I just love how the movie doesn't take itself to seriously. And the nice photography of Turin is a nice bonus
Don't tell me you prefer the update Rab was referring to?

If you're referring to how I can't stand the old one and I like the new one, then yes I guess I am. And aside from the same title, they really have nothing in common aside from the cars.
I know we discussed and agreed with the unbearable B movies Caine has done in certain time period, but man Italian Job wasnt one of them (he has made real horror ones, seen The Magus??? hehe). It was senseless decent fun.

I think that's the only old movie of his I've seen.
But seriously Os, the scathing criticism that you get from people very often to contemporary movies leaves me flabbergasted at how something like The Italian Job can be considered a minor classic.

I saw book of Eli last night and I was very impressed. I was liking the whole movie until about the final minute when Mila Kunis takes up after Denzel, that part could have been left out.
