It's been ages since I've been to a theater, but I saw American Hustle last night.
I was too busy being mesmerized by an American movie theater with assigned seat numbers and reclining Barcaloungers (shouldn't that be the official name of all Barcelona tifosi??).
Good flick. Paced well. Great acting class. Jennifer Lawrence proving me wrong about her being stone-faced. Recommended.
But what was with two Boardwalk Empire actors in a movie about Atlantic City??
No, just getting to the conclusion that even though the two films have the same amount of positive reviews, the Scorsese film have love/hate reviews while Don Jon reviews are just a tad above average. And that love/hate film are usually much more exciting - even if you end up hating them. The Rotten Tomatoes number itself is hiding important information.
I really have a hard time finding comedies on film funny. Films like The Truman Show, Midnight in Paris and Groundhog Day have comedic moments, but they aren't exactly poor comedies. Intouchables was good, but you have probably seen it. Another one is 21 Jump Street. Thought it was decent.
