i find Anne hathaway bland, unsexy, and short on talent, and i just heard jennifer lawrence won the oscar for best actress WOW i mean the oscars in general are lame but really jennifer one facial expression lawrence?
I kind of agree on Hathaway but would reserve further judgement as I think she's had a rather limited range of roles in her career so far - in usually bland, shit movies anyway.

As for JL, I couldn't agree more - I saw she won the oscar just this morning and LOL at it ... I haven't seen this Silver Linings Books thingy but I find it diff to believe she all of a sudden is miles away from her usual standard of emotionless, monotone acting. Best guess is this Oscar (and I think she won a Golden Globe too, iirc) has more to do with America's need to find another sweetheart/hero to revere than anything else.

That and a lack of good performances by lead actresses this year. Though she was probably at her best in Silver Linings Playbook.

The D. Lynch? As in Twin Peaks and Elephant Man? I really like his work but haven't seen anything from him in years. Last movie of his I remember seeing was Mullholland Drive.
He's been on my list of misunderstood geniuses ever since Twin Peaks weird-ed me out as a kid :p

I have never seen a David Lynch film. I'm rather glad, now.
He hasn't made many movies over the past 20-25 years. Actually, apart from the Twin Peaks Tv series, I can name only 3 off the top of my head - Elephant Man, Blue Velvet and Mullholland Drive. Each one of those is more than worth seeing, imo.

Wild at Heart is probably my favorite of his.
