Watched Inglourious Basterds for the first time. Much, much better than Django.

But I do have problems sometimes with obviously changing history, like there is a scope for suspension of disbelief, but there's a point where it becomes too much for me (i.e. Hitler's death).

I mean it as an insult at least, it was staggering how it felt like anything but a Bond movie on several accounts.
Strange that all the critics were praising it as being back to the classical Bond style when Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were heading towards a Borne style instead. I haven't seen it yet so I reserve my judgement.

By the way having kids is amazing but if you are a movie lover you simply miss a lot. Last time I was in the cinema was for the latest Batman and now I can't wait for Tuesday to go watch Django Unchained.

This is the timeless book vs movie discussion again. People who say that the recent few Bonds are better justify it by saying they're more true to the Bond in the novels. Since I haven't read any, what the f do I care. I know that the new movies are way downhill from the older ones.

I haven't read a single Bond book either and I think the new Bond movies are ok but they lack the style of the old ones and especially the humour. And even if I love the Bourne movies, I think that Bond should stay Bond and avoid the Bourne path. I am eager to see Skyfall and observe what the critics have been saying.

The new Bond is true to the books. While I love the Sean Connery ones the new movies are leaps ahead of the cluster fucks by Pierce Brosnan. Granted Skyfall wasn't as good as the two before it, with Casino Royale being my favorite.

I liked Skyfall. Don't see what people have against it.
I liked it too. It was a tad bit long me though...
Watched Kai Po Che (Hindi) today. A really good movie. It's great to see Indian movies giving a shot at real cinema than the larger than life buffoon acts (there's still plenty of that still)

It's just all wrong. Way too long, was a snore fest for quite a portion of the movie. They've turned Bond into a thug that hides from his enemies. The Bond girl? 2 min cameo. Ridiculous scenes especially considering it was supposed to be more realistic. No bond gadgets, nothing exciting.

They really have bastardized the Bond franchise.:D

This was just a setup movie for the next ones :D

I still thought it was good tho. No gadgets but the way he rigged his mansion was pretty cool. It was a different Bond but I could dig it. That's how it is when you want all the movies to connect and tell a story instead of having the same things happening all the time. The following ones will probably be back to Bond being a womanizer with cool cars and crazy guns.
