Hot Tub Time Machine. Was enjoyable, nothing special but a few laughs in there.

The Losers. If you liked Smokin Aces, check it out. I did not. Both action films which insult human intelligence.

Shutter Island was ok though, but nothing more. One of Marty's weaker pictures.

I guess that won't be a problem for me :D

North by Northwest - Hitchcock classic. Had never seen it before. Not too shabby but obviously a bit dated. Would have been even better if it was a bit shorter though (10 minutes or so).

Things We Lost In The Fire - Pretty sad & touching movie, but not bad. Not bad at all. Also stars the cutest kid(s) ever.

I watched North by Northwest ages ago, I actually don't remember what it's about. Gonna have to give it a re-watch.

Things We Lost In The Fire is waiting for a viewing for over a year now. A mate of mine, who's opinion I value, rated it highly...but it seems to be so difficult, I still have not found the right mood to watch it in.

I wouldn't say it's a difficult watch, since it's pretty straightforward (might even be too "easy" for some people in terms of how they present life & its problems).

But you definitely need to be in the right mood.

I watched Adventureland for the second time. It's becoming something of a favourite of mine. Great soundtrack, funny, sweet and smart, and it resonates with my own life at that age.

That's love my man.

On another note I may go see the new Predator flick on Friday.
it sure is, and she is reciprocating by going to the Rush concert with me in September. It also happens to be 2 days before my birthday, and it would be cool as hell if I can get theVIP package and meet them backstage before the show.

In regards to the movie itself, the only parts I wanted my wife to keep me updated on were when Ron Howard's daughter was on screeen.

That's awesome. I love Rush. Brilliant lyrics, "today's tom sawyer"... 30 seconds later... MIND BLOWN.

I have no idea how they are NOT in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. makes no fucking sense to me. That's another story for another time. their new song "Caravan" is awesome, by the way.

Says the guy who bases everything off Syriana.

I'm only thinking of going to see it because I have a gift card.
I don't really base everything off of Syriana. It does offer some insight into that world, though, as former CIA agent Bob Baer has written.

As opposed to fantasy, like Predator.

But come on, these Predator films are simply dumb. What are you, a toddler?
