Avatar was an entertaining movie, enjoyable as Ahmed said (not sure if he's being sarcastic though :D). Juts because it got a massive undeserved reputation among people doesn't mean it was a bad movie.

Avatar was a film about imagery and visuals, the 3D didn't proove a damn thing other than that it wont be around much longer.
But when I watch a movie I usually rate it on the plot first, acting second, and the visuals/effects third. The plot sucked horse nuts and the acting did too.

Visuals and effects are just fixtures which make an already shitty plot into a horrible movie.

The plot was the 'Imperialism' plot. It is one of the easiest to sell and brings in a massive audience. There are two massive post modern references to the plot in the script...the element being called 'unobtainium' and the plannet being called 'pandora'.

You know that the Ship in The Core was build out of a material called unobtainium? They must have visited Pandora before Cameron found it.
