Oh, man! Thank you so much! :D You helped me bunch. I made a short list and half of those were already on my list. I did miss others, though. They look interesting enough and better than some that I noticed earlier. I'll try to catch some. I wish I had more money, I'd probably camp there and watch all of it :p
Film festivals are great. Especially if there are introductions, Q&A's, masterclasses etc.

Enjoy! :D

On this link it's a complete list

https://www.fest.rs/Program?id=102&...rd=&product_cinema_id=&product_categories_id=

so many names... so many good movies (by the looks of it).
You better discard Suspiria, the two films by Paul Morrissey, Acusada, Love Simon (doesn't delve into the LGBT theme), Boy Erased (another LGBT movie that risks little) and Beautiful Boy. Definitely those will not be of your liking, so I help you not to waste your money .

There are some movies from the list that seem very interesting . And I still have to watch Burning.

Burning - I really liked it and I think it's a great movie. It's probably one of those that one will either love or hate while I assume majority would fall into the latter category. Still, I think it was great for what was supposed to be (hard to guess as it's a mystery and something for each eye to define differently). Plenty of small-ish details made it good while character development is quite great. The two men show extremes and they are like the opposites. Shy, introvert, lost, etc. vs success (mystery), ego, confidence. Suspense and mystery are all over the place and the more I think about it the more I like it and appreciate the amazing work from Lee. There are so many hidden questions and themes in the movie but in a subtle way, I think it's brilliant. The moment I left the cinema I thought it was good. Now, after a couple of hours, I think it's really great.

Green Book - I loved it! Acting was amazing (both of them were brilliant) and despite the story that's rather predictable I think I could watch it even if it lasted for 10 hours. Can't really point any flaws there as it's really fun, entertaining and emotional. I love Viggo and his movies are top-notch, I think he's really underrated actor. This movie reminded me Driving Miss Daisy.

Nelyubov - Another good movie. Russians do know how to make a great movie but there's always something lacking in order for it to be perfect. It was a simple story between torn husband and wife along with the child that suffers from their bullshit. I think it portrays the situation of current modern life quite perfectly.

Franz - Nice movie. Can't say it's amazing or something it's a good watch. Kinda predictable, though, at least 2/3 of it. Still, very enjoyable.

Mirai no Mirai - I expected a lot more from it. It had some very good moments but it also had flaws and unnecessary stuff. I'm not a huge Hosoda fan based on the things I saw from him.

Capharnaüm - Brilliant movie. Emotional bomb. Pretty hard to watch, tons of hard moments and a painful life shown in a great way. Kid was really amazing in it. I did expect a lot but it went beyond my expectations. When I left the cinema I think 80% of people were in tears.

Nelyubov wasn’t Zvyagintsev’s best, but good nonetheless. However, both he and Tarkovsky have made some films that aren’t lacking anything, dude. ;)

I loved Burning too. Brilliant film.

Viggo is a fantastic actor. Love how adaptable he is. He manages to seem so natural in pretty much any role he plays. They all seem made for him.

What film are you talking about with Franz? You’re not meaning Ozon’s Frantz from 2016, are you?

Haven’t watched Capharnäum yet. I suppose I best do so now from your review.

Pff, I don't count Tarkovsky among those. He's way too special :p Hmm.. I actually liked Nelyubov more than Leviathan and The Return. A bit better than The Return in my books. And while being very good I wouldn't say it's a perfect movie.

Yeah, Ozon's Frantz :)

Viggo gets even more respect from me considering projects that he's taking. I read somewhere he rejects shitload of offers and only accepts certain roles despite the money offers.

Yeah. He reminds me of Daniel Day-Lewis in that regard. Fantastic actor who made great choices as far as projects go.

Frantz was a gorgeous film. I loved its aesthetic and atmosphere, but you are right about the storyline being a little too predictable. Felt a little flat in that regard.

I just watched a retrospective of Zvyagintsev’s work at a cinematheque here in January. Seeing them all over a couple weeks, together, again, on the big screen, it really made me reevaluate how good The Banishment is. I think I had talked about his films with others here before and criticized it a bit, but watching it again, soaking it in... what a masterpiece. ::delpiero:

His best film, followed by The Return for me and then Elena, Leviathan, Loveless are all on a similar level of very good but not great.

Oh yeah, I did love Frantz when it comes down to that, no doubt about it. It was an eye candy. However, even without reading the plot and watching the trailer I knew what was gonna happen (who was the guy and that the girl will fall in love). That's what was meh to me. Otherwise pretty great.

I'm yet to watch Elena. Dunno what's up with Zvyagintsev but he's making depressing fucking movies :lol2:

Awesome, Dule! :D What are you planning to watch next?

I think Mirai no Mirai is super annoying, actually. 50% of the film is just babies crying, really tiresome.

Obviously. :D It's great - and Morricone's score really holds up.

Yeah that was the worst part by far. Very annoying :D I liked the time travel, though.

I won't be seeing any other fest film in the cinema. There are two days left and majority of films are either sold out, bad or at the bad time so I can't see it. I'll download others that I planned to see eventually. Don't know about the next movies I'll watch. At the moment I'm only planning to finish s2 of True Detective.

Sounds like a pretty bad plan. :D
