First time I hear about it. Looks rather weird (in a good way). I have a weak spot for Cage, so I'd watch it either way :p

Anything else? Man, I think this is the wierdest year for movies so far.
I hooe Mandy isnt a let down the trailer is too good to be true.

Upgrade was great. I really liked Shot Caller, and Good Time. Nothing else stood out off the top of my head. Neither if them will be nominated for any Oscars.

Looking forward to Martin Scorsese's and Tarantino's new movies.

Just finished the vietnam war documentry on Netflix. Good watch great soundtrack but quite depressing.

I don't think that many people seen it, it's fairly old school. I only saw it because of school assignment like 20 years ago.

Man I mean film class from junior high. Writing papers and watching several films a week was one of the most relaxed school work ever (or 2nd most, after philosophy class).

I can guarantee Han Solo. Dunno about the other but it's probably good one.

Am I the only one who never watched Citizen Kane?

PS. Quite a few exciting films from Venice (and Cannes for that matter) to look forward to this year.

And Robert Redford's swan song film looks great too.

Citizen Kane - I totally loved this movie. It felt like it every second of it was in the right place. Kane was a great character and it felt like there's always something new about him, yet you don't get to know him fully. Camera shots and picture were incredible and one of the best ever, I still can't believe they made something like that in the earily 40s. Also, one of the most powerful scenes with him walking next to the miror, man, that was awesome. It kept getting better and better while ending was simply brilliant. Welles did so great, and it's so shocking how they gave him absolute freedome and he made this. Just wow.

Carol - I did not like it. Found it rather dull.

The Talented Mr. Ripley - It was fine but I expected a whole lot more. My friend loved it, so I wanted to give it a shot and it turns out it's just decent at best for me. I couldn't really connect the relationship between the actors and it was torn all around the place. Just meh movie.

Anomalisa - I saw really great reviews and critics loving it, so I wanted to give it a shot. I did not like it one bit.
