First off, it's The Predator and it has Arnold's roots in it. It used to be a great action movie. If you're doing something with it then do it properly.

Secondly, it's pathetic how they push female leads into almost EVERY movie out there. It's plain stupid, pathetic and sad at the same time. Even some movies that I love, like Star Wars, keep going with the tradition. I seriously think they are trying way too hard to give feminism a bigger smile.

Thirdly, of course it's gonna suck. It's a predator movie and there's a female lead in it. I, for one, couldn't care less if she's hot or not, cause I'd rather watch porn if I'm horny.

You're better than that. Come on.

What's wrong with what I said?

It's quite clear they are pushing for female leads nowadays, even in the movies that clearly aren't suited to them. That's like placing a man to be a lead character as a princess. It's just wrong and it won't work.

Men are also much better actors in general. I don't think you can even argue about that.

It's fake.

Female lead :lol2:
Dude, Boyd Holbrook is the lead. Munn is his scientist sidekick and Strahovsky is his ex wife.

You do have a serious problem. You can't read.

Also, the Director Shane Black played Hawkins in the original so he's well aware of the canon.

How about everything?

Hollywood has always been male-dominated since it's beginning and still is to this day. I've no clue where the fuck you got that idea almost EVERY movie out there has a main female lead. As both members already mentioned, you got a problem.

I can actually argue with that all day, man. There's nothing that would slightly prove men are better, acting is an art that can be mastered regardless of sex. Truth is men have just been given more parts and better roles. That's always been the way.

Agree. The only thing I find stupid is when they reboot movies with female leads. It's like vegetarians copying meat courses.

Is anyone excited about this movie? Even though we won't see the legendary Arnold? Also, I didn't watch the trailer, just found it online and posted it, maybe it's fake. :boh:

Official trailers are welcome.

What you think? Please discuss.

No. The sequel [Judgment Day] is by far a better movie. That's how you do sequels.
First one is a much more brooding, darker and intense movie.
Kyle Reese is a thousand times the character John Connor is.
Arnold as a villain is far better.

The only thing better about the sequel is the special effects, and that's to be expected, with a bigger budget and being released 7 years after the original.

I respectfully disagree.

Jeez, no need to be aggressive. What's wrong with me stating an opinion.

And in fact I might be blind, I really didn't even see those names pop up when I googled it. I saw female names. Sorry, I guess.

I can actually argue with that all day, man. There's nothing that would slightly prove men are better, acting is an art that can be mastered regardless of sex. Truth is men have just been given more parts and better roles. That's always been the way.
It is an art. And throughout the history of movies there were always better actors out there and hardly any impressive actress who placed a mark in the movie industry, especially over the last 40 years. Out of mainstream names it's just Meryl Streep that stands out while majority is plain average and there's no way they can pull off a shitty movie to stand out with their roles. And yes, men are given better roles, with a good reason. They are aware of their acting abilities.

But this is just so typical, I say something and I'm instantly the one with the problem and a sexist lol.

:sleepy: Yeah, that's my problem. Because it was always like that, nothing changed in the cinema universe over the past 50 years. Sure, Osman. Sure.

I don't have anything against the change. If it leads to something better, which it clearly ain't.
Some has been hanging out on the misc too much

Words escape me how great this movie is. Been a while I was completely captivated from first scene to last.
