If I interpret your post correctly, I think we agree. :D

I liked how old-fashioned it was (typical Tornatore), and how it almost reminded me of a Hitchcock movie. But it was indeed a little too ordinary and safe, and the twist was, as you say, very predictable. Still, I enjoyed it. And it has, like all Tornatore movies, a nice Morricone score. :D
:tup: I didn't notice who the score was by, but I should have realised.

Seriously movie was ok, and I'm being nice, but FUCK ME, the kids in the family....if they were my children I would purged them myself, holy hell is it inexplicable level of stupidity what they did to endanger their whole family.

I saw that movie 6 months ago. One of the weirdest fucking movies I've ever seen. Still to this day I'm driving through my neighborhood and from time to time I think about the movie and where I would hide my family if that ever happened.

Such an Erie idea.

Godfather 1 appears better because everybody loves a nice origin story but from the intellectual and scenic standpoint Godfather 2 is far superior. Godfather 1 is heartier cos we love old Vito, young and innocent Michael that you can root for as protagonist and some old fashioned da good vs da evil set-up.
