The sacred Dule90 approval. Elaborate. 
. I also liked how it was pretty much left open for interpretation. Some minor stuff like the guy who cleaned the hotel made it very realistic. I don't think there's much to say about it. Or there is, but I guess everyone can interpret differently some/majority of parts. I thought it was a different kind of movie so I was kinda surprised. Oh and btw, the dialog parts were top notch, I don't think many movies managed to nail it (Before Trilogy and My Dinner with Andre are one of the rare imo). I also really liked the ending.
They bought me right at the beginning when I heard Vivaldi's Four Seasons lol. It really gave a dramatic spark throughout the movie. I really liked it but then again I think many people would leave unsatisfied for the same reasons I liked it. It's a good and realistic story about the family and its bonds, battle of emotions, shattering marriage with kids around and bitterness of life. As you say, the dialogue, the small details like the janitor on the hotel and especially the way it's filmed. The long, static wide shots are perfect for making you feel uneasy. At times it's almost like you're trapped with real person. You want to look away, but you can't. De ofrivilliga is even more cringeworthy, but Force Majeure a more complete film.- - - Updated - - -

It's uncanny how realistic Östlund's films feel. As you say, the dialogue, the small details like the janitor on the hotel and especially the way it's filmed. The long, static wide shots are perfect for making you feel uneasy. At times it's almost like you're trapped with real person. You want to look away, but you can't. De ofrivilliga is even more cringeworthy, but Force Majeure a more complete film.

but it's still a very good movie imo. Yeah I did, long time ago. I've never seen such movie lol. It felt quite weird and one of the rare movies that felt so realistic. The dialogues were incredible and it's definitely one of the most realistic movie (trilogy) that I've ever seen. Not a huge drama fan but that's most likely my favorite one. But then again it's hard to classify some movies. But I really rate high Before trilogy.
I didn't search anything about the movie but I saw how this one is compared to Bergman. I think it's an exaggeration but it's still a very good movie imo.

I love the Before movies too. It might be that they are only about two people walking and talking, but they are hundred times more captivating than every disaster movie out there. Probably the best romance movies out there as far as I'm concerned.

it was pretty unique and hard to pull but they totally did it.

I don't even think people should go deep about what this movie represent or not,or take an opinion about it.
Just a cool true story has been shown to world.(and even if it's changed a bit for a movie,it's not the point of it...)
Imdb rating of this movie is pretty good and they are really harsh there with the ratings...
Suprised to see people say it's a shit movie actually...i hear and read everywhere just good comments and reviews.
But well,everyone to his taste.
