I *just* gave him credit, what do you want from me? :D

But if you want me to change your mind, gimme some songs that you think are so great..
The Way I Am
My Name Is
Criminal
Under the Influence
Soldier
White America
Business
When the Music Stops
Patiently Waiting

Yeah all garbage. If he was such a horrible artist, he would not even have been given the time of day, since he is white.

My Name Is
I'll pretend I didn't see this one. This is the crap that epitomizes my despise for Eminem and annoys me knowing how popular it was. I'll try the rest of them though.

Hey I don't pretend to understand the rap industry. The fact that lamers like Jay-Z and Ja Rule got big I will never understand. And how that Nelly record ("Too hot" or whatever) ever even qualified as rap is beyond me. So the fact that Eminem "made it" means nothing to me cause lots of others with no talent did too. Granted, he *is* special but that doesn't mean he's very good.

Well, no offense Martin, but I guess you have no understanding of what it takes to make such tracks. It takes more than looking at Ja Rule and Jay-Z, saying "they suck so Em sucks too".

Jay-Z and Ja Rule are garbage compared to Eminem.

I never pretended to understand rap in the first place, all I know is some of the stuff I like, most of it I don't. And it's never like the most popular that's the best either. 2 Pac sold a lot of records and I think he was of the best but the rappers of today, most of them I don't like at all.

Anyway, I should moderate myself cause people take offence to my harsh words about their heroes. :D

Martin, he is not my hero. I just hate people talking shit about him (which is all the time) because they lack understanding of rap. Most of this hate towards Em stems from the fact he insults some other celebs, like Wacko Jacko. You have to look past that, and give credit where it is due. Most of his best songs have nothing to do with insulting other celebs.

No that's not my beef with him. He doesn't score any points with me dissing Jacko, that just makes him look dumb. But I can look past that and see the music for what it is, at least his early stuff to me is crap pending a revision.

Ok I've had a run through the list you posted, will make this simple..

Bad songs (not worthwhile)
Under the influence
Criminal

Boring songs (dull, repetitive, sick of it before completing the first lap)
Business
Just lose it

Interesting songs (not too bad but wouldn't play it myself)
Soldier
The way I am
Patiently waiting (it's actually boring thanks to 50 but Eminem's solo alone is better)

Good songs (stuff I could actually listen to)
When the music stops

One thing that always bugged about Eminem is that he doesn't have a proper voice for a rapper, his voice is high and whiny imo.

    1. Sufjan Stevens http://www.sufjan.com/

    2. Badly Drawn Boy http://www.badlydrawnboy.co.uk/

Well, thats all we can ask Martin. At least you listened to them. He does not really have a whiny voice, maybe "naselly", which is common for a person from the Midwest, like myself. All those songs I listed are great songs, though, I did not put Just Lose It in there because obviously its not some of his best stuff. Everybody has their own opinion, but that doesn't take away from the fact that Em is one of the best rappers out there.

    Underated

    1.Lil' Wayne
    2.Jamie Foxx
    3.Will Smith
    I disagree on all.

    Overated-

    1.Juvenile
    2.Master P
    3.Big Tymers
    1. Juvenile is underrated IMO.
    2. While I'm not his biggest fan, i don't think that he's overrated.
    3. Big Tymers are pretty good IMO.

I don't see how u can call them overrated. I think they deserve more attention.

    Bigshot-

    Mystikal
Naah.. He's been around for quite a while now. Pretty good.

    In your face, Majed :p
    Naah.

I'm not Nelly's biggest fan, though I like a couple of songs. 50 Cent is good, but not THAT great IMO.

For people who say that Rap these days isn't what it used to be. I agree, but I don't think its worse. Or at least from my exposure to the genre since the mid 90s.

Majed, your choice of music is pure class. Even if you were a Romanista, I would stil have respect for you. :D

Martin, you have no rap knowledge. It is rather unfortunate. :D
