That's the crappy thing about Vucinic. Sometimes he's just not into it.
Yep. Sometimes he is so bad that you could strangle him. But the games where he gets shit for being lazy or unfocused because he loses many balls, it's also a case of people just not running for him. He holds two-three defenders off with his back towards the goal. If no one runs he can't release it, and no one can keep those defenders at bay for more than a few seconds.

Other times he's mentally at a pub or somewhere while playing, but not always - despite having a bad day.

Are you questioning Conte? Vučinić proved to be important for us in the title run whether you like it or not. And you would see that he still is if you actually knew what you were watching.
Yes I am. Conte's comments in the press mean nothing. His comment on Elia is proof of that. He's not gonna bad mouth his players to the press.

There's no doubt that he was and is important to us. But to call him the best we have is ignorance at its best. You overlook a lot of his flaws that hurt our game and give him a pass for that. Something you would never do for a player like Giovinco.

Nah, your argument sucks because you don't understand how football works. If you did, you'd understand that it's not all about stats, especially for a creative player like Vucinic.
And how can one create if he gets dispossessed so often?

People not just running for him? That's just bullshit! Pirlo had to face the same thing every day. There's usually 2-3 players on him and he manages to hold on to the ball regardless. And in the chance that there's no one running for him, he manages to keep possession and pass it to someone else that's open. How can our "best" forward fail to manage even that?

If he's mentally at a pub, then I'm sorry, but I cannot consider him our best. This is Juventus, not Roma!

Maybe because he has proven to be important, something Giovinco has yet to do. You can't just look at stats, specially when it comes to Gio. Do you realise he has maybe scored one or two important goals? Goals that actually counted in the outcome of the game. He only scores when we've already won a game.

Here are his goals:
Udinese (4-1), 2 goals, 3rd and 4th goal.
Roma (4-1), 1 goal, 3rd goal in the 90th min.
Nordsj (4-0), 1 goal, 3rd goal.
Pescara (6-1), 1 goal, 4th goal.
Chelsea (3-0), 1 goal, 3rd goal in the 90th min.
Torino (3-0), 1 goal, 2nd goal.
Sampdoria (1-2) 1 pen goal.

I can count one important goal against Cagliari in the coppa and two assists against Bologna and Chievo.

Seriously, get out while the getting is good. You did not compare a deep lying midfielder with a secondary striker, did you?

In the course of the league, they are all important. I'm not gonna pick and choose which ones are decisive and which ones aren't. Neither for Gio nor Vucinic. But you don't get to call Vucinic our best forward and use that excuse to dismiss his flaws.

Seriously, get out while the getting is good. You did not compare a deep lying midfielder with a secondary striker, did you?
I used Pirlo to show you how a world class player handles that situation as compared to an average one like Vucinic. I was comparing ONE aspect of they're play, not their entire repertoire.

does pirlo receive the ball with his back to the goal, are you really that ignorant?
Back to the goal or not, both players are getting closed down when they receive the ball. Why can't Mirko "our best forward" Vucinic hang on to the ball and manage to get past them instead of getting dispossessed? Have our standards dropped so low that the player with the highest dispossessions in our team is considered our best? Really?

Thats usually the case for creative forwards. Since the load of creating chances is distributed in such a way that it's almost Vucinic every time, it's only natural that he gets dispossessed alot doing it.

You suck at football man.

Who do you feel was at fault for Chievo's goal?

Oh yes, what a load THAT is! Pirlo, Vidal and Marchisio are doing fuck all, and Vucinic is the only one creating chances out there! Everytime! :howler:

Stupid.

The ONE aspect you picked makes as much sense as a rabbit sailing a flying pink boat. :shifty:
Whatever you say, schizoid man.
