Sure, he plays coz he holds or helps the attack flow better in Conte's preferred formation, but how you assume he creates so much for the team around him? You are the resident statistician. Please have a look at his number of assists, and let's forget the handful of goals and tell me, as the focal point of our attacking play you are satisfied with that and the amount of responsibility he has taken on himself as a result of his role, that Conte has given him.

How does it matter who I, hearing it from? Whether I hear it from Marrotta or Nzoric, the expression of the opinion that he is world class doesn't change the fact that it is debatable.

So Conte giving Vucinic a start happens for a good reason and its best for the team etc. I'm sure you uphold that opinion when you see Borriello start too.


Haha. This is not about my favourite or your favourite. It is about the team and what's best for the team. Personally, I feel Del Piero, Quag, Matri, have all carried out their responsibilties in the time that they've gotten and Vucinic hasn't despite being more talented than them and having arguably the favour of the coach. Theres nothing to suggest that he deserves to hold on to a starting role because his talent has not had any impact for us in proportion to the responsibility he's been given and the time that he's had. You may feel Quag doesn't deserve it, thats fine. And I may feel Elia does. Thats a subjective matter. But I will always go with what's best for the team, and any bias aside, Vucinic has not lived up to even the most basic expectations. So he's certainly not anymore deserving, even more so for his selfish, lax attitude.

Please tell me how Matri and Quag have done their duty for the team? Both have the worst goal scoring record of any CF pairing in Europe's elite league in the top two teams.

If you don't feel Mirko has not lived up to the basic expectations, then it's clear you've never watched him outside of a Juve shirt.

I have Nicola. Thats why I question how people think he's the greatest player in the world on his day. He is at best, a good supporting cast. Nothing more, nothing less. To say he's the closest thing to Ale or he's got it all, is an absolute joke.

It's exactly about what's best for the team. If you find a single word or complain from me during those 9 matches when Mirko didn't play or didn't start, I'd gladly admit being wrong here. But you will never find it. To me it has always been about Juve and only Juve. I can see Mirko's importance. I just can't see Quag's importance this year. That's why I strongly prefer Mirko to Quag. Some of you on the other hand do the opposite and keep complaining about Conte's choice.

But I could be wrong. If Conte didn't play Mirko and played Quag instead, we could have been in the Coppa final and we could have led the serie A standings instead of....oh, wait

The moment I see that someone could do a better job than Vucinic in our attacking game, Mirko can get lost to Triestina as far as I care.

I love Mirko, he might not have been as great as i would hope at times, but he has given us many points and is usually terrorizing defenses when they're not defending with 10 fricking players.
We need him. I'm not saying i wouldn't go for Robben given the chance, but right now, with the squad we have, Mirko is definitely a MUST.

Personally mate, I've never said this.

However to the first point, when Mirko is on his day, nobody can stop him. See the four games this season where he was on fire.

Fiorentina away, Milan at home twice and Napoli second half away. He demolished those teams.

This is how he's a world beater on his day, because you can put any defender on him, and he'll glide past them easily.

We dont need to feel the need to stay with him or feel attached to him like he was a del piero or soemthing.

Have you noticed the game time they have gotten? If either had the amount of game time Mirko has gotten, you would've been debating getting Matri and Quag ssome more quality and not the other way around. Firing up some quick numbers, Matri has 10 goals and what, 3/4 assists in 23 or so matches ( not sure about the matches) Quag has had 5 starts all season (18 matches I think with 15 min sub appearances), and 4 goals to show for it. Mirko has 6 goals and 5/6?? assists having played 32 games being our most talented forward. Feel free to correct me.

We just need to add 3-4 players to this team ffs. Why do we even talk about selling Vucinic? It's like talking about selling Marchisio if we get a chance to buy Yaya Toure instead of having both in the team. We won't get a 20m eur offer for Vucinic and selling him for 10-12m eur is not gonna give us anything at all.
With Del Piero leaving and Borriello not being bought (hopefully) we have those two empty spots for the attack. Leave the rest as it is.

We have the team. We only need to add more quality in the two spots which will be emptied this summer and a 4th quality midfielder.

We all agree that if we find a better player than Mirko he should hit the bench.

In this current Juventus team, there is no better forward suited to Mirko's role that is worth playing ahead of him.

Yes I am. Looking at the games I've seen and not numbers, both have been sub par compared to Mirko. Neither of those players have put in performances that can match Mirko's best games this year.

From the start, some weeks ago, you set the argument this way: "Quag is superior to Vucinic. He can single handedly lead a team in matches, as proven last year. Vucinic can never do it". Then you were given the example how he was the best player in Roma when they almost won a scudetto in 2010 and days later the Fiorentina and Milan match happened. After that, from asking Mirko to lead Juve in one single match you ask for him to single handedly lead the team to trophies. It's impossible to follow your demands.
