03/19/2003. Juventus striker David Trezeguet is likely to be fit for the Milan match on Saturday, despite limping off after 30 minutes of last night's Champions League game in Basle.

"It is a bruise on the back of his knee and the muscle contracted with the pain, but it's nothing serious," said coach Marcello Lippi.

The player will undergo tests today.

I personally do not think that Dp should start this match, I will be disappointed if Salas is not given another go though as he looked alright against Basle and has perhaps being unfairly treated by Lippi with the amount of playing time that he has been allocated

Okay he has not pulled up any trees with his performances but he there are no reserve games in Italy and there is no way you can regain fitness in training alone

Call me crazy but Milan's problem is all that crap about fielding Sheva and Inzaghi together, Sheva, gr8 player he may be does not fit into this Milan whether he likes it or not and its no coincidence that their downturn has coincided with him being fit again

Also what is the point in playing an awfully off form Rivaldo, because of his name?
Its a shame that such a talented squad should have so far underachieved to this extent, mind you they do have an ordinary defence

I agree with you about Salas. I saw the last 30 minutes against Basel and he played very nice. we all know how good he was, and I assume he did not forget how to play football. I think some in this forum were unfair to Salas. he had a tough time with the injury. playing time is the only thing that can help him recover.
He can still contribute, I'm sure!

Hey guys. Sorry to say, it all comes down to who wants it more, and I really don't think that we do:eek:They are pretty far behind right now and they will be firing on all cylinders:dazed:I believe that we will loose against Milan and Lazio:down: Besides that I don't think there should be any other scudetto problem. To be honest, JUve and Ac are my two favourite sides and since Juve won Lo Scudetto last year, I would rather Ac win it somehow and we win Champions League:D But we, Juventus have the best tactician in the business, and his instructions to the players might make all the difference:dazed:
Sheva your right. We arent desperate enough. We arent trying hard enough. It seems that this season everything just comes to us without us even trying- in the league I mean.....

The CL is another story.

Id prefer to see a draw. Why?

1. the league's more competitive that way
2. I want us to be top, but not run away with it just yet.
3. Im not desperate for the Scudetto anyways. Inter and Milan want them a lot more....plus we've been the giants for so long and everyone hates us...... Its time we set our targets elsewhere....
you guys make it sound like we already won everything!!!!

do u think serie A is that easy!! we've only been on top because for thr past 11 games, we've only played 2 tough teams (Parma and Inter) we havn't played either of the Roman sides yet for thr second time. a few seasons ago we lost the scudetto to Lazio at the last day but we were still ahead 9 points at one point. Don't think that everything will come easy!!

and what's all this crap about us winning last year, it's ok for others to win!!! :fero: what kind of competition is this!!

even if we beat Milan, do u think we're gonna run away with it!!!
Inter are just ***3*** points behind!!!

....

i predict a tie on Saturday....

....

i also agree with denco about how Milan's slump in form has to to with tactical changes due to Sheva's return to injury and lotti's attempt to play him with Inzaghi....

Denco, its not that Sheva cannot fit into the style of play, its that he has been used badly by Ancelotti a couple of times and the fact that Rivaldo is playing like Parmatti the playmaker:eek:
If Carlo decides to play this

Sheva Inzaghi

Rui Costa
Seedorf Gattuso

Pirlo

Maldini Nesta Costacurta Simic

Dida

We will loose. We shall be punished. I love Juve, but this is Milan's last chance, a do or die:fero: I certainly don't see them messing this up:groan: Their defense this season has been profilific to say the least and I highly doubt that they will make the same mistakes that they made in the first match. Shevchenko has scored against us 4 times in three games that Juve have played Milan in the San Siro, and just like the Milan -Real game, its his chance to finally come back and shine. Another thing, Rui Costa is starting to get bak to old form again, Gattuso has reached a peak and most importantly, Rivaldo will not be played to screw things up.
Most of Milan's scoring difficulties have come from the fact that Rivaldo is used as a striker and comes back into the midfield leaving either Sheva or Pippo alone to be marked by 2 or three men at times. If I'm correct both Pippo and Sheva will be used and they will try to start using the width more often.
Ambrosini might still be injured, but we all know Pirlo's capabilities:dazed: Maldini is playing left back because Kaladze is injured and so thats why Costacurta has been brought in.
Honestly, I predict a Milan win and their return in the scudetto challenge. I'm sorry if I seem too pessimistic but thats how I feel, those are my predictions and Ac are my other half, but our failure would probably be due to their motivation. If I'm wrong, I still win as I love Juve too:D

good news for Milan not juve!!

i dont care, i'd rather we beat Milan with a full squad.

As much as i like Milan, no team comes close to juve for me.
i hope we win and knock them out of the scuddetto race. maybe they can concentrate on the CL i hope.

they are almost garanteed a CL place for next year as they're in 3rd place....so, it's all good.

Hope the other Bianconeri send this messege to Inter, "Stay away from Juve!"

Juventus must win. :D
