Almost anything can be done out of courage, out of fear, or without any emotions whatsoever. It depends only on the person's motives, not on other people's interpretations of this person's actions.
In your opinion, what motives to be afraid of believing in the team do some Tuz members have? To be qualified as "afraid" they have to want to believe in the team, but still prefer not to, due to some unbearable consequences it might lead to.
I can understand how people, who disagree with the course the club has taken, can be angry or disappointed. But to be afraid to believe in the team? Why?
You guys have lost the plot completely. Please tell me which version is correct:
a) Agnelli hired Sarri and his staff telling them that he does not really care for winning and that Ronaldo transfer and raise in the capital are just smoke screen to make Juventus lose.
b) Agnelli hired Sarri and his staff telling them that they are expected to raise the level the team plays as they have elite players at their disposal. What is more, Juventus plan to keep investing hence the raise in capital. However, evil Sarri is on a mission to destroy Juventus from the inside and poor Agnelli hasn't realzied that yet.

Managing expectations, too afraid of the letdown positive hopes can have, therefore expecting the worst. Coward is a bit too strong, I wouldnt use that, but I think fear is involved there.
One thing is to disagree with the course club has taken, another one is giving up on the team while we're split 1st on pace for a 94 point season. False hopes lol.

Why would anyone become afraid of the letdown after supporting Juventus for decades? Having witnessed multiple failures in CL finals, Serie B, post-calciopolli years, I struggle with coming up with ideas of anything that could be potentially so devastating that could make so many people on Tuz become afraid of supporting the team.
Are people tired of being disappointed? Probably, yes. But afraid? I don't see any ground for it.
It's not like people gave up on the team at the end of December, right? People became extremely skeptical about this club's future in the spring, and they haven't seen anything convincing enough to change their opinions ever since.
If Juventus were displaying great football, the problems in midfield were solved, etc., and people would still be spiteful, that would be obviously weird. But none of that has happened so far, and no real signs of movement in those directions. Only "just wait" kind of arguments again.
As for 94 pts (and the CL group stage results too) - as far as I can see, that's been taken into account. But people who've been watching football for years know very well that such results at this stage of the season don't mean much. So, yeah, if someone's hopes are based solely on the numbers in the table and ignore all the other factors, they can be false.

I'd prefer to not switch from the likes of JCK and BAus to a general term like people.
There're fans who're certain we'll win Scudetto and maybe more. There're fans who think we might or might not win Scudetto and CL is impossible. Both are reasonable to me.
