Any complaining about subs is a completely dead argument, he has to make subs because of fitness. I don't know why anyone is even bringing it up. That the players who come on are either not up to scratch or in good shape is not down to him.

Look, the Milan goals were shit, all of them - penalty, Bonucci leg sweep/deflection, deflection, Alex Sandro freebie. All avoidable and on another day you could have zero go in, but it happens on occasion even to teams in good condition.

With luck we don't have to worry about seeing Bonucci - Rugani again. What could derail our run-in the same way it has affected Lazio and some other teams is if our physical condition deteriorates. Second half it clearly did. And playing Atalanta in the next game is probably the worst side we could have faced. Lazio on the other hand would have been one of the best, as their heads and legs have gone.

Lgor: 'the coach who failed to win a double and lost against Lyon is worse than his predecessor who shouldn't have been sacked if that was the alternative''
Pajeethro: 'the coach who won a double and lost against the CL winner Liverpool is the worst coach in bayern's history'

Last thing we need is dropping more points to Atalanta, whilst Lazio might gain points, for a psychological point of view I fear this will give Lazio renewed hope and energy

I agree that we had a chance to put the nail in the coffin. Having said that. We are in good form and Lazio are in really bad form. They have been behind in their last 4 games losing two of them. I dont think that they can make a run at it unless we fall off big time.

When I looked at the cross stats as the first two big points I kind of stopped reading. It's clear that we don't focus on crosses all that much. Sarri's teams generally don't, but we do even less than Sarri's last Napoli season. We don't even have one player with an average of one cross per game in the league.

We also don't play in the Premier League in 1995.

I tell you another reason why Ronaldo has two headed goals - because his heading has been pretty shit this season.

But it's also clear that offensively we still haven't clicked consistently. You see it in halves or spells of games but not on a regular basis. I think it's taken us until post-lockdown to even seem like the front 3 players roughly know their roles, and even then it's in spells and there is no fixed 3rd attacker.

For me the issue remains that with Ronaldo and Dybala as immovable players, Sarri cannot EVER get the offensive unit of the team to play how he would like them to. He makes contingencies the same as Allegri had (and liked) to do - he is often letting them provide their own solutions once they have the ball. The bigger issue is that the weak-ass midfield does not press and move the ball quick enough to open up enough opportunities.

Juve board wanted to fire Allegri because they wanted more offense and more exciting football. Instead they got less of everything.

The worst thing about Sarri ball is the lack of runs. Watch highlights and goals from a random City game with Guardiola ball which is suppose to be close to Sarri's ball possession style. His players usually pass and run, pass and run. Ours don't.

Yep and compare, Matuidi with David Silva, Pjanic with Fernandinho/Rodri/Gundogan, and De Bruyne with Bentancur. On top of that. Mahrez/Bernardo Silva with Berna/Costa.
