We need to improve on this, someone posted it on VS and it's something I noticed a lot of when I went to a juve game a couple of years ago
Long balls over the top, we never take advantage of Ronaldo's runs it happened so many times in the game I saw and Pjanic is someone that should be doing more of it

Or Bonucci if we field a three man backline

This is pjanic taking the easy option every time so annoying.

Top 50 crossers in Serie a this year and only one juve player in it at number 50 and yet we have Airnaldo in the box total waste.

Sarri has literally come out and said here and in the past that he doesn’t like long balls from the back, and we all know he’s not super fond of crossing as a tactic.

The biggest flaw in his attacking tactics is this over-reliance/stubbornness about attacking through the middle and keeping the ball on the ground, little triangles, through balls, etc. Sometimes this works, other times we need to take advantage of the fact we have two players in Bonucci and Pjanic who can send a pretty sweet long ball, and that we have a guy like Ronaldo in the box to send crosses into.

The lack of variety in how we attack is why our goalscoring record is still poor under Sarri. We’ve improved in the short precise passing game but worsened significantly in long balls and crosses.

We switch to long crosses once we're losing in last 15 mins.

We could never cross well consistently
We still crossed 10x better than we do this season.

No team crosses well all the time, and some teams have aerially dominant defenders that clear pretty much every cross.

The point isn’t that we should base our attack on crossing and long balls exclusively, but that they should be a regular part of our attack considering we have Ronaldo, and we have a long ball in specialist in Bonucci,

Ive been saying this all year about everything being funneled through the middle but Sarri doesnt adapt like Alegri or even Zidane all that nice one touch football is great but if its not working in a game switching to crossing to Ronaldos head should be next option. Look how many big CL ties Ronaldo has decided or opened up with hes leaping headers when madrid were struggling to break teams down.

:agree: especially with out deficiencies in midfield, bypassing that with a long ball to the wings or fullbacks can be valuable against big teams, i hope we start crossing more, especially since we have the best headerer of a ball in the modern game, and by quite a large margin.

Last season we were overly reliant on going wide and crossing, but we are certainly under utilizing it now
