You'll always have players missing (and apparently we'll always have Dybala missing after looking at knockout matches where he wasnt available / was barely fit ), some of whom will be starters, but that's why Juventus first team is 20+ players large.

tell me a coach that would guarantee to win those finals. we had a very good shot on victory against barcelona (that penalty claim on pogba at 1-1 was legit), and the run to cardiff was impressive too. in his first 4 seasons, allegri's team surpassed the expectations and never fell to an inferior opponent. his current tenure is questionable obviously, but coaches rarely get better than allegri in those 4 years.

But again, we are talking about matches from 5 or 6 years ago. And that's the problem right now. The coach must be evaluated like a player. They improve or decline. It's not Allegri from 6 years ago. Or maybe it but this Allegri needs to ADAPT.

Mixed the order up in my head but the point stands. Nothing about that 4th season in the CL says we were punching up or surpassed expectations in the CL. Last time we did that was the season prior.

The fact that we can't win those matches without Dybala, Chiellini, Cuadrado is the reality of our squad level. We didn't plan well enough for those moments and we got exposed again for being a squad of very limited capabilities. Without Dybala and Zakaria we'll go out in the Coppa when we face either Milan, 100% sure of it.
