I honestly can't disagree with most of what he said.
I was more so laughing about the epic post from someone who joined in 2005 and has 7 total posts

Some of it is spot on, other bits are silly and over the top.

Our 2015 and 2017 CL campaigns had nothing to do with Pyrrhic victories though. I posted this before already. Of the 12 knockout matches to get to those 2 finals we won 9 and drew 3, and outscored our opponents 19-4. How is that nicking a goal while getting dominated. We dominated most of those matches. Especially in 2017.

Did we come up against superior teams in the finals and lose? Yep. And we lost badly in 2017 against a team that won 4 finals in 5 years. A team that only our 2015 team knocked out of CL in that entire period.

We don’t have to go all revisionist on what we accomplished 5 years ago to affirm that we’ve been shit for the past 3-4 years.

I am certainly not a revisionist. I believe Allegri overachieved with Juventus in Europe in his first stint.

But it's less about Allegri and it's more about how Italian clubs are averse to recruiting players with modern characteristics. I mean it's changing but there are so many dinosaur Italian coaches and football officials who are still stuck in the 90s.

That asshole Tici did the same thing while he was here. Fucker built a snail midfield, sold all our useful wide players and left us in a mess.

Look at Barca over the past few years. All their technical geniuses got mauled by a supremely conditioned, super-athletic well drilled Bayern machine. This should be our blueprint for future success.

Ofcourse the finance aspect can't be ignored but if Italian teams aim to bridge the gap between other leagues, they need to develop a consistent pattern of play with their teams with appropriate recruitment. Like an Atalanta who have clearly overachieved in the past few years.

If the Italian national team can do it, then so can the rest of the league.

The top teams have the majority of possession because they defend well with regards to taking the ball off the opposition. It's what Allegri did against Villarreal. The problem with us is that we have zero creativity, nobody can beat their man, nobody has link up play, no long shots, no intricate passers. Villarreal we comfortable with sitting back.

Top teams have that skill to unlock parked buses, that sets them apart. Also, the prospect of being hit on the counter automatically restricts the opposition press, we have no pace now or link up so it was no problem with Villarreal. It was a near identical match to United Atletico but they had Ronaldo, Pogba, Fernandes, Sancho and still created nothing.

The assumption that end to end football is good is great for entertainment but tactically its not. There's a lot in the small details about player ability. Arthur is great on the ball but because he doesn't pass forward, everything in attack breaks down and the space made by Morata and Vlahovic disappears in a few moments. Liverpool hit out to Salah or Mane and in an instant, they have runners burst forward, Trent on the overlap and its another shot on goal. Watch Trent cross immediately while Cuadrado will always do his pull back and slow things down.

It's in the finer details, with Dybala and Chiesa we look transformed but we don't have cover for those two and it's killed us this season. It's the reason why Morata and Vlahovic look useless when actually they make space and do the right things but it goes unnoticed.

I see what Allegri is trying to do but he needs to play Soule or others with that skill set to utilise the strikers. Our midfield is extremely shit but good defensively. That's not good enough at the top level and he needs to be brave with next generation.

I wonder if this lack of creativity and lack of attacking game plan is a direct reason for our mental breakdown after conceding a goal.

Once goal down esp. vs. stronger teams or vs. teams that park the bus and close down pretty well,, you always feels like the players are not putting effort or are just casually trying.

Either way,, this is coach responsibility in my books.

First Villareal, now Dybala and Allegri quarreling, this club feels like its collapsing everywhere and losing its identity. Just take me back to the good old days in 2015 when Allegri, Pogba and Dybala were all happily playing basketball with each other :(

I don't think so.. Allegri was happy playing with Pogba, but he kept telling Dybi to fuck off... Dybi had daddy issues since then

“suggests that Juventus’ fitness coach Simone Folletti is one of those who could leave at the end of the season due to the many muscle injuries suffered by Juventus players this season.”

:tuttosport:
@Dru - you see? You can change a transfer strategy AND fitness staff. Perfectly logical to take both into consideration when making changes.

@Post Ironic - D and I were having a debate offline about this stuff and your post with the quote supported something I was saying.

So he is loosing the locker room now, too? Great.
Oh man - he said the exact thing Dybala needed to hear if that is true. Brilliant to put PD in his place like that.

Again, it was not just Dybala making the request. Obviously, the players are feeling gassed and the injuries don't help. Maybe Allegri needs to be more flexible in his training methods and those fitness butchers need to be fucked off. How many muscle injuries have we suffered this season?

Its likely that Alzheimers answer to ridicule is, to just extend training sessions, and train more useless defending and calma tactics than they already did. Im not expecting positive change to come from this, we need to train smarter and not harder, is my guess.
