Morata’s form isn’t helping either. We’re dying for a ST and a MF.

The organization was decent and we shouldnt underestimate that Fiorentina played a decent game. Chiesa has been neutralized aswel.

Happy with the win, although I really don’t understand why Rabiot started and why Morata made so many minutes.

Give Fiorentina credit, they are a very good team.

Didn't like Rabiot starting again but I think the logic was he knew Fiorentina will press high and he wanted another bigger body to shield the ball, win some headers and maybe transition to their half faster. Berna would've been just as useless in this setup because he only plays face up

Maybe Cuadrado could've started, but maybe that's too risky with Rugani in there

All in all, couldn't care less. This is a traditionally tough game, it's always a dog fight and I like nothing more than winning a derby like this, it is so demoralizing for them

Pretty dreadful today Why does he keep playing that turd Rabiot?
Not everybody can play that left mid role. Certainly not a winger. It takes a specific kinda characteristics and discipline for it to work.

We have the makings of something with this squad, but the holes are too big and any time one of our actually decent players go off form we look awful.

At least our defense got their shit together and allowed almost nothing. I thought Vlahovic was going to eat Rugani alive
Imo a huge part of our 3 points tonight took Fiorentina who did really, really bad. They made hundred of stupid mistakes. I also expected more from Vlahovic, but truth be told, I expected a whole lot more from Fiorentina, so he was kinda cut off from the game.

Can’t argue with anything here. Disappointing from him so far this season. Let’s hope that THIS is a turning point. But I doubt it.
There's no way. I think we've seen enough so far with this squad and Allegri and in my opinion it won't change much. So I expect to see the same repeating: us beating opponents with huge struggles, us dropping points totally randomly. Both scenarios will be tied by one thing and that's: us being dogshit horrible.

Like PI said, our holes are too big in this squad. Man, I really wanted us to bring Allegri in the summer. He was my first choice. But I'm totally disappointed with how we play. I know we have plenty of mediocrity but I don't see us as a team, it's just us being totally bad, disorganized and not being able to function properly. I don't think it can be fixed AND I HOPE we won't try to "fix" it in January by signing more mediocrity players like Witsel.

Shortly, I expect this to be a truly shit season with 90% of the matches painful and annoying to watch. I'm not even pissed at this point. I'm just sad how downhill we went over the past couple of years. I'd seriously fire our whole staff with sporting director and whole scout team being first to leave.

This is so key IMO. Morata at the moment is a black hole of a striker, he’s doing nothing well. I just wish he had positional intelligence and knew how to keep himself onside, if he could do that he’d score when off form. Because he is so dumb in that department he manages to be a complete negative when not playing well.

I never thought i’d say this but… he kinda makes me miss Higuain

If we had inform strikers this would change the whole game. First it will boost our confidence when we score, second it will give us even more opportunities to score because the other team will have to open up and this will lead to even more goals.

Morata is a huge problem right now, perhaps even bigger than the midfield.
