I think we have the right characteristics to play a 4-2-3-1, 2017 style. We'd essentially would need two signings(besides the obvious new CB), somebody like Locatelli and another winger to make it work fully.

Arthur and Locatelli would be two great sitting midfielders, very high technical ability. Would remind me of the Pjanic and Khedira partnership in 2017.

Kulusevski, Cuadrado and Chiesa are perfect wingers for this formation as all 3 have very high work rate which is needed in this formation.

lollll this 2017 midfield of pianic and khedi is so soft and useless that we had to depend on bonucci long balls to wings. Self imploded in final because of them.
