Lol @ anyone who thinks max would want to come back to this shit show
  • squad is worse off than when he left
  • Finances limit any further investment to buying/building
  • The same morons who irrationally fired him are in charge
  • Plus we have no moneys to compensate a manager of his quality

Allegri wouldn't have put this team in a better position than we are now, so no. He was great at putting in a creative gameplan against a superior opponent from time-to-time, but that ran out of gas in too many finals for us to want to repeat the same mistakes. Otherwise I'm not a fan of his player acquisition instincts and I only see him holding the club steady ... not improving it.

Right. That's how he averaged about 90+ points per season in his 5 years here by "putting a creative gameplan against superior teams". In his 5 years, we got eliminated against 1 inferior team and that was Ajax. And in that tie a lot went in their favor. Well guess what, we haven't had a chance to see how the coaches after him would have performed against superior teams because we have been eliminated against far, far inferior teams in the last 2 years.

He didn't run out of gas in finals. In 2015 he faced one of the strongest attacking trios in the history of this game. In 2017 he faced one of the greatest teams in the history of this game + greatest player ever in this competition. Those two CL runs were remarkable.

We Allegri defendants have his track record to point to. But i really would like to understand what makes you believe we would be in a similar position with him this season as coach. To the contrary, I think we would at least be leading the table in serie A and probably would have advanced to the QFs in the CL.

everything is black and white with you.

don't want allegri =/= being happy with current performance
Okay, what is your logical reason for not wanting him? You are acting like we would be bringing some failed coach and it would be a step backwards. We had 5 years of constanf success with him and he is out of job. Of course, he is the most logical choice.

stagnation. the same style over and over, and also his tendency to have to rile his team back to comeback performances instead of finishing opponents off.

thanks for his years of service, but his chapter is done.

Allegri announced that he would take a year off after he left Juventus but also did not take on a new job last summer—despite having offers from several top clubs as Allegri's friend and former coach Giovanni Galeone, who has worked at Udinese, Delfino Pescara and Napoli has revealed to Radio Kiss Kiss. "Why has he not coached for a few years?" Galeone said (cited by Real Total). "The reason is simple: Because he had to turn down offers from some big clubs because of family reasons. Max has said no to Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Real Madrid."

Turning down Los Blancos was the hardest, according to Galeone. "He turned down Real because he had already turned down some other clubs," Galeone said. "I said to him: 'but how can you turn down such a big club?' Max's reason surprised me: 'I am not a clown. If I said no to a club, I can't just turn around and ten days later accept an offer from another club.' He is an honest man, a gentleman, and a professional."

Former Juventus coach: Allegri wants to take over a top club

Allegri is now ready to take on a new opportunity. "He wants to come back and take over a top club," Galeone said. Before taking on Juve, where he averaged 2.27 points per game over the course of 271 games, Allegri coached Milan, Cagliari, and US Sassuolo.

For style you got to go to shanzelize or milan but if we are talking about what's effective, that same "stagnation" won the WC with zero goals allowed in open play and Conte right now is sitting on top of our table using a 10 year old "stagnant style", in fact everyone has always known how he will set up and play..if you don't like max that's fine but the words "stagnant style" is asinine.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Max toward the end but the man was taken for granted I admit.
