That's all you got? You are the one contradicting hisself, you just mentioned some random characteristics which you claim make him similar to Allegri. Explain how are you so sure they are similar...

The biggest issue in your naive comparison is the totally different characters they have, different philosophy's aswell, just starting from this and already our debate is useless.

I'm not implying they totally opposite coaches tho, if you ask me their only similarity is probably that they both like to rotate players and maybe the fact neither of them are tiki-taka adepts but that's about it, how are you so sure they are similar in their approach or that they would do similar in charge of Juve, or better yet how are you so well informed about Benitez, don't tell me you been watching Newcastle games lately lmao...:groan:

Anyway, the point here is that apparently to you, any coach that plays tiki-taka Guardiola/Sarri type of football are in one 'fap-worthy' category while all the other coaches in another category that you don't rate at all where everyone's similar in their counter-atacking/defensive approach. Great logic.
Off the ball approach is very similar how they defend, not very aggressive to win the ball back but to soak pressure and defend as a unit

There are definitely similarities there anyone can see that

Attacking wise I don't know how Benitez does it I guess it varies on his players but there are similarities in defensive approaches

Similar style of play

Defending in numbers, compact, deep defensive line, transition from defence to attack is done patiently and not rushed

Although not sure on the last part how fast Benitez transitions
Oh boy, you're so wrong about this. I have so many examples vs big teams from 2017 alone.
1. First two goals vs Barcelona
2. Both goals vs Milan in 2-0 win.
3. Goal vs Napoli
4. Goals vs Monaco in first leg.
5. Goals vs Lazio in 2-0 win in Serie A
and many more that I'm too lazy to list.
Since Sarri is the gold standard for you, We've also scored more goals than Napoli and have similar amount of possession (56% to 60% in Serie A, 51 % to 53% in Europe)
Of course, you're just interested in the fuck Allegri narrative, so you continue to oppose facts and figures and continue stating opinions that can be easily disproven.

I can also cherry pick moments to push my narrative, just because it happens doesn't mean it happens all the time or it's a characteristic of the team in general

I can make Ronaldo look like the best defender if I also cherry pick moments

3% of our goals are from a counter attack

that's a stat that's actually meaningful as it's not cherry picking from individual moments but overall the season

Benitez would be a decent hiring but I think he is too similar to Allegri

Maybe that's what the management is looking for though
Said he'd be a decent hiring, and the only caveat is that he's too similar to a manager who has won 3 straight domestic doubles and taken us within 45 minutes of a treble in 2 of the last 3 years.

Didn't say that at all. :baus:

Thanks for linking whoscored stats that show Juventus scores a higher percentage of goals from open play and counterattacks than Napoli does, by the way. And Napoli scores a higher percentage of their goals from set pieces, penalty kicks, and own goals.

Juventus = 71% of goals from open play + counterattack / 29% of goals from Set pieces + Penalty kick + own goals

Napoli = 68% of goals from open play + counterattack / 32% of goals from Set pieces + Penalty Kick + Own goals

Sarri style = less team goals, and more goals from defensive mistakes and individual brilliance
