It’s pretty crazy how everyone is so ready to dump a man that has made us relevant in Europe and has won THREE domestic doubles in a row.

We defended that deeply because we had no plan on how to build attacks out of the back, it was a strange line-up from Max. Not that he had a lot of good options to choose from anyway, but I think this is one of the few decisive games over the years were he didn't get the maximum performance out of the team he had at his disposal and it's strange because usually he does.
We could play this game again with the same lineups and we might win because of Spurs atrocious defending, but I believe we'd again suffer for long periods of the game because Berna as a RM needs better guys to link up with than DS and Khedira, Costa isn't a CAM and Mandžukič shouldn't play when he's injured. I'm glad that Higuain is inform, with the slow and depressed Higuain from few months ago we'd be out of this tie by now

Bottom line, just because this Juve plays like a 2nd tier team doesn't make it one in reality.

That washed up RB, no matter how much of a cunt he was, is still miles ahead of the likes of DeSciglio.
And whilst Benatia can be a rock at the back, and is probably better at actually defending than Bonucci, he can't contribute in build up play like Bonucci did.

With a stacked midfield? Maybe we should start with having a simple midfield before moving onto having quality backups to our midfield? Because all we got right now is out of form Pjanič, injured Matuidi and a bunch of backups, we play like a 2nd tire team because we have a 3rd tire midfield and there's not much Allegri can do about it until Pjanič finds his form from a year ago and Matuidi returns to being healthy.
Dude, beside Chiellini (whose passing anyway I always thought is underrated) none of back four lack in technique and ball control. Reason we struggle in possession is not because of not having Bonucci there. Did spurs have a regista in defence to control the game and get back to it the way they did? no, it's because their back four had all the time in the world and where never under any sort of pressure.
Allegri himself never believed in creating from the back. He sacrificed Pirlo for someone like van bommel, he likes his forwards and wings to be more involved in the build up. For the first time Marotta built a team to the coach's requirements. MDS is his choice of transfer. There's no excuse for the way we play.

That 'washed up right back happened to be one of our best players in the CL knockouts. Would love to see De Sciglio reach the performance level of that washed up right back which is unlikely.

Dude, I remember even with Vidal and Pogba we got outplayed by a mediocre fiorentina side that had valero and that Croatian dude whose name I don't remember(exactly, a nobody) pulling the strings.

If you're referring to that 4:2 game against Fiorentina in 2013, that team had Valero and Pizzarro pulling the strings in midfield, some of the smartest midfielders in Serie A in the past decade and it's not like they didn't have guys to pass to, Guisseppe Rossi and Cuadrado were probably at the best point in their careers that season.
