Of course that Morata sub fucked us; easy to say in hindsight. However we wouldn't have had a 2-0 lead to throw away in the first place if it wasn't for his excellent tactical improvisation. He set us up perfectly, and made one mistake. Can you really say it's his fault now that we're out if that two goal lead was way beyond anyone's expectations in the first place?
I agree with you as I know you're right, but man, that Morata sub will bug me for a long time.

COWARD!

Attack is the best form of defence.

Attack Attack Attack,Fuck!

I hate when we defend with 11,so embarrassing.
It wasn't embarrassing at all. That first half performance was the best performance I've seen from this squad this season. It was really great.

and i thought that Allegri was better than Pep...
He is. There is not a shadow of a doubt.

His subs didnt pay off, but the rationale for swapping Marota for Mandzu is obvious. We were sexy af in the first hour of the match and that is mainly down to how mister read the game.

Here's the thing about Allegri though, he plays gutsy continental football. I can't promise that we won't lose another European tie from atwo goal advantage under him, but just the fact that we were in that position in the game kind of underlines the coach and tactician. He's European in approach which means we will play far more open football, and while it's unlikely we would surrender such a lead under Conte, but in the same measure, is unlikely we would have such a lead to begin with. This is our boon and our curse, and I think it has more positives than we give him credit for.

Take the 12.5m out of the equation, we are richer for the experience, and can conserve energy for an important serie a run. The team had no chance of a CL title in this transition year, but I can only see us come back stronger next year and ready for another deep run with Allegri at the helm. Our summer will be important. Hold on to the weapons Beppe. No, he wants to leave, hands are tied bs.

His starting 11 were spot on. But his subs ruined us. Good effort in the end but we need to be more arrogant from now on. The team completely chickened out in the last 30 minutes.
What subs? We didin't have anything better. That's the problem.

Allegri did fantastic! Hope he gets contract extention. This kind of performence would not have been possible under our last coach. All in all great performence until subs came on.

He set the team up perfectly, we could have put 4-5 goals past Bayern in the first hour of the match. But imo Morata should have stayed. How could he have been tired, since he's mostly coming off the bench this season. Once he went out we became toothless and Bayern didn't hesitate to commit more players to attack. They played with one CB, who isn't even a CB to begin with. His only mistake last night.

The team is still inferior to the likes of Bayern and Barca, mentality wise, sadly. We need to be more confident in our abilities. It was obvious that we are on par with them at least. the sheer quality of our team is extraordinary and second to none. Every time we pressed they became shaky and vulnerable at the back, making silly mistakes. We should have kept with this instead of sitting back in the last 30 minutes. What saddens me the most is not the defeat itself, but the way we lost, after being a better side throughout most of the game, created better opportunities. Sometimes we're our worst enemy.

But in any case honor to Allegri, he's the best coach for me and by quite some margin.

My only wish for this team is that we don't change our development direction and keeping our tempo up. Yeah, there are some mistakes as always, but overall team and club improvement in last 4-5 years is just incredible. And Max looks like a coach for the job.
And of course that we keep Pogba for at least couple years more.

I'd have brought on Zaza for Morata. Zaza and his endless running and pressing style would have served as well.

Ah well. We'll be better off next season. Allegri got it right for nearly the entire 90 mins.

We are not inferior mentality wise. At least from this game. We conceded because our subs were shit, and couldn't make simple pass. They lost possesion on simple plays that you just can't loose in such games and in the end those simple mistakes cost us a goals.

But this game is very great experience for our guys. Now the most important thing is to keep this group together and add to it not split (pogba in the summer). All the great teams failed before winning that's not a problem, problem would be not able to keep core players. Even though I'm very sad at how this ended, I'm very happy with how they played, how the coach mentality is opposite to our previous cowardly assholes one. If we keep this teams core players I'm very optimistic about the future of the team.

I think Moratta was tired and Allegri wanted someone who would be able to win long balls and hold possesion, because Moratta as good as he was last night, I think he didn't win even one first ball. Sadly our other subs, pereira and sturaro fucked us up big time.

Yeah Pereyra and Sturaro added zero and it was almost playing with 9 men. If only we had less fucking injuries.

I think we need another quality CM in the next Mercato. Or hope that Lemina (who looks very good potentially) steps up as well. He actually would have been the perfect player to replace Khedira last night.

He is.Give that gypsy our team with injuries like we have and Alegri this Bayern and you will see the outcome. His tactics were perfect yesterday. He ,so outcclased that gypsy.I only object him about subbing Quadrado our most dangerus player and Morata. He is a master tactician. That's a clear fact.I didn't rate him at the past like this but this is the truth.
His idea about subbing Morata with Mandzu at 2-0 was to close the game having in mind Mandzu's workrate and defense. It could easilly be a smart move but yesterday it wasn't.

Keep this man for a long time. Pushed Bayern, who earn way more revenue than we do, all the way with 4 key men out injured.

Wasn't his fault our players didn't take their chances.

I am still dissapointed from yesterday and probably for days from now, but I can't be mad over that performance, I loved everything in first half. Great approach Maxy.

We were even missing 4-5 starters

I am sure we will win a CL with this man in charge. Love him.
It's pretty crazy people were calling him a 'disaster' yesterday.Absolute nonsense.
He's made us go toe to toe with some of the best teams with inferior players.Failing at the last hurdle is not down to him.
Give him that experienced Bayern squad and he'll piss all over Europe.

The way he's adapted this yr after initial difficulties is commendable. He deserves absolute respect for the job he's doing in a transitional season.

The only thing that I took umbrage with was the substitution of Morata for Mandzukic. IN my opinion, Zaza would have made more sense, because it would have given us a "more of the same" type of tactic with Zaza in there. Once Morata came out, any hope of counterattacks went out the window. And for those who question the Sturaro sub. Given his last few performances in the CL, did anyone honestly think that he would have played as poorly as he did last night?

But on a coaching and tactical level, he was great. A lot of people here, and quite frankly, around the world thought that Juve were done for even before the match started. To lose Chiellini, Marchisio, and Dybala (the news just got worse and worse leading up to the match), and to have arguably the 2nd best club in the world on the ropes, in their house where they rarely, if ever lose.

I can't fault him for this at all. It was unreasonable to expect Juve to play like that for an entire 90 minutes against a superior club away from home. As people have said, give him that Bayern squad, or Real Madrid, and he would dominate Europe.

Just change your medical team ffs.

I encourage all of you guys to comment constantly on Juve's social media accounts regarding this issue. We as fans need to draw attention to it.
