Because we have central defenders on the decline and Rugani is still young to step up. We have wing backs on the decline apart from Alex Sandro who is not familiar with the squad nor the league.

Out of all our central midfielders only Pogba can be a difference maker but he strugglng to find his form, the way I see it, is the mediocrity around him that is causing it. Now you will tell me that Khedira, Asamoah and Marchisio are injured but I don't see them as difference makers at all, very far from it.

Hernanes is inconsistent and Cuadrado while he showed some good signs, I am not sure he can be the one who takes the team on his shoulders.

We have two very talented forwards but they are very young to be leaders of a forward line of a scudetto winning team. Mandzukic is not going to make anything if he does not receive proper service and we don't have at all. Zaza, don't let me started now.

We looked chaotic, lost and mentally weak. When things don't go our way, there is NO ONE that is capable of doing that little extra that lifts the team up.
its gonna be a looooong season

I have absolutely no expectations whatsoever. Hopefully we get at least a third place in the league but I won't be one bit surprised if we don't. As for the EL, will we even bother?
well Jack, we can just wait and hope something good happens. atleast in serie a we may be able pull something out as the other teams are not that consistent.

but i'm not really expecting anything close to last season.

Last season? I am not expecting anything close to that in years to come. It's sad though not to build up on that great season but opt to demolish it totally and start from scratch.

Nah I don't agree , I would take Morata over Icardi , Morata is faster, have better shoots , better dribbler , while Icardi is better finisher , Morata was important player on CHL !

Kondogbia have proved anything to come close to Marchisio, who has best season of his life and was our best mf last season .
Icardi is by far the more proven player and the better goal scorer. He has been terrorizing Juve in specific before he even joined Inter. He has a great killer instinct and great movement. Last year he topped the serie A scoring charts ahead of Tevez's best ever season where Juve was on its best form while inter was shit. Marchisio had 2 good seasons. One as a box to box under Conte (and still wasnt a world beater) and last season in the Pirlo role. For a player of his age who had a long career at a top club as he did thats not an indicator that he is a consistently world class player. Like I said before, apart from these 2 seasons he was completely invisible. Zach had to invent dacdical flow to give marchisio some credit. When you think of marchisio you remember last season's marchisio which was very good.. when I think of marchisio I take his average performance levels over the years which is barely Juve material.

still doesn't explain the fact he was on the bench of Inter

we won't beat genoa. Ansaldi will have a field day

I would ban him solely for this statement!!!

Also it's funny how many already wrote us off, you would think we are relegated again to Seria B. But more disturbing is how many here came just to rub it in the face of "Marotta and Allegri lovers" or any rational person who is willing to give benefit of the doubt or wait few more games before panicking. It's like they love we are loosing games, just so they can prove they were right all the time. Few pages before you could see Badass turning completely against Allegri, calling his tactics pussy, like when we hired him for the first time again.

I really love this forum, but I will probably take a break for while, because I can't stand and read all the negativity and arguments in every thread.

:agree: I'm not one to be all negativity all the time like some people here but we do need this team to click asap if we are to have a shot at the Scudetto/going past group stage.

We should give it another 5-7 matches to give us a better idea where we are.

He needs to get rid of his trequartista obsession. Lippi once said that a great tactician should use the formation that best suits the players at his disposal. Our squad screams for a 4-3-3.
Personally I would say our team screams 352 , but everyone myself included don't like that formation . I personally love the 433 and I think that after the 352 it is the formation that lets you field your best players in the field . The problem is that we lack proper subs to make that a main formation imho. If one of the wings is missing we don't have a replacement . I think that our best option this season is for allegri to train the team to play 433 and another formation which may very well be the 4312 or if need be the 352 . 433 if everyone forward is available , 4312/352 when someones missing .
